The service technicians were wonderful. In terms of punctuality, the technicians were excellent. They were easy to communicate with. They were also very professional. Brian, the owner, seemed to over-complicate the installation process by not defining the amount of outdoor space necessary so the homeowner was clear on the number of plants that had to be moved, not indicating that installation could take more than one day depending on issues that could arise, and information was sent for me to map out all the circuits so the technicians could complete installation. Wherein reality when the technicians came to do the installation, they made a point to make the it simple and customer user-friendly without the need for specific details.  I woke up one morning without heat. The plumber that came to fix the issue discovered that there was a valve turned off to the liquid propane. He was very specific in stating that it was an oversight of the entire installation process. Follow up phone call to Brian revealed continued communication issues. He was not interested in paying for the emergency service call. The professionalism grade is based entirely on my experience with Brian.
Response from DEER CREEK ELECTRIC
"Hello [member name removed], Let me first of all apologize for any lack of communication on my part. It has always been my goal to be as transparent as possible throughout the entire installation process. Furthermore, I know there can always be room for improvement. Also, thank you for the kind words of praise in your review. However, the “responsiveness” and “professionalism” portion seems a bit unfair. It has been over 2 months since your installation was complete. As you stated, your generator and furnace worked perfectly until now. Although I understand your frustration, it doesn't seem feasible to blame us for a closed tank valve, especially when another company filled these tanks after we completed our job. Thank you again for bringing this to my attention and I completely understand your concerns. As a result, we have updated our “job completion checklist” to include double checking that all propane tank valves are open. We want to make sure that your situation doesn't happen to any future customers. Thank you so much for placing your trust in DCE and allowing us to do a professional and timely generator installation for you. We appreciate your business and your positive feedback! Brian Samples/President"

Very well.  They bid on one week, then performed the work within the next week and I was satisfied even though there was minor incidental damage to some of my plaster near one of the new outlets.

I'm in the process of upgrading my kitchen from the original builder quality products. I wanted to have under cabinet and over cabinet lighting installed, after I had granite counter tops installed. Brian from Deer Creek had left me a pamphlet on accent lighting, when they were here for an earlier job this year. I did some on-line research on under cabinet lighting, and when I was ready to have the work done, I called Deer Creek Electric. I was concerned about Xenon vs LED lights, so when I called Brian, he suggested I stop by their office to look at the lighting they had set up in their shop, as well as a sample strip, showing all the available bulbs and lenses available. This was very helpful in making a final decision on the type of bulb i selected. I selected LED lights, because they do not emit heat as the Xenon do, as well as for their longer life span. LED are initially more expensive, but cost less to operate, and last significantly longer than Xenon.

The Deer Creek electricians showed up on the scheduled date. They began the job, while I was at work, and were completing the running of the wires when I returned home. They then asked for my input on how I wanted the lighting spaced, instead of just installing the lights wherever they thought they should be. The lighting system is modular, and the sockets and bulbs can be installed anywhere along the run, which makes it quite flexible. The electricians completed the installation, and confirmed all of the lights were working, and then asked if I was satisfied with the overall lighting, letting m know that they could add additional sockets if I thought they were needed.

Everything looked great, so they began thier cleaup, making sure all access holes were patched and all debris was removed. They left the kitchen as clean as it was when they started.

Company was professional, showed on time and preformed work very well. Service person did a great job of explaining to me what was going in the disconnect box and how to use the older box that came with the Hot tub.  Brian even showed up weeks after the job, late night, to show me how to fix a breaker that had been tripped after a power outage.

We weren't as happy with them as we thought we would be.  They left wires bare and didn't finish the job.  It ended up being more expensive than we thought.  They said we needed an new outside line which we may.  They said water was getting into our box but they didn't really fix that problem.  We felt for $900 we didn't get our money's worth.  I'd called around for other estimates and they never called back, I should have gotten other estimates and I would tell others to shop around.  I'm not saying they are bad people, the guy came back and tried to resolve things with my husband.  The electricians for fine but why would you leave bare wires.  The water issue they said was an $1100 job that required permits.  If it needs to be done then fine but I'm not sure I trust them.  We stopped everything and didn't move on so we're living in limbo.  Their price is higher than most but you expect good service for that money. I'd only use them if they can prove to me that what they did was correct, we're pretty much done with them.

Got a verbal estimate. We reviewed set budget and was assured they would be able to accommodate.
Then half way through the job with holes in exterior walls, the contractor informed us that the price is now doubled without warning.
The carpentry projects that he assumed were beyond his scope of expertise.
Also, they had to come back twice to fix leaking problems in our exterior damaging our house. They did not use J channel or flashing when sealing the exterior siding.
Get Itemized Contract before doing business and keep it to just electric projects.
Otherwise they were very knowledgeable about electric circuits and handy splitting up circuits and developing troubleshooting plans.

They came on time and fixed a light socket that was hanging by a thread in the ceiling.  They replaced the fixtures on the outside of the house and it had 3 way switches.

Overall the experience was very good. The 2 men that completed the job were professional and courteous. They worked hard to complete the job on time and did very clean work. My only complaint was that they did not put some insulation back that was removed. This was remedied, however by the owner of the company coming to my house personally and putting it back in to place. Could not ask for anything more than that! The job took 2 full days to complete. (wiring for: 3 ceiling fans, 2 pot lights, garbage disposal and 3 outside outlets also installing 3 ceiling fans, 3 outside outlets and 2 pot lights"

They did an excellent job.. It took under two hours and they arrived promptly, even though I didn't have an appointment. Their work was top notch, but I expected a little lower price.  I would call them again because their work was so good.

It went very well overall. I even got a $100 Veterans Day Discount. Two guys showed up to the house bright and early and finished the job, same day, in a few hours. The guys were great. They shared a lot of information about the wiring inside our house. I was asking them a lot of questions regarding wiring and how-to's. Overall I recommend Deer Creek, and will surely consider them in the future.

Excellent! Brian (the owner) came out the day after I called to give me an estimate. The work was done the following week. The price was exactly what he said it would be. The workers that came were professional, curtious, and on time (they even wiped their feet before entering the house:) Major bonus points)! The lights and fan are exactly how I wanted them. We have had some extremely bad experiences with contractors and different companies in the past. I found this company on your sight and did some research of my own. Thanks for the referal. I will be using this company again.

Brian seemed very knowledgeable about our electric situation. He was also very pleasant to deal with. He even showed us some other small problems that we had, which we then had him repair. 5 STARS!!!
