Part was promptly ordered and scheduled for replacement.
Once old part was removed and found to be melted the technician, I think Jeff, called supervisor and another techinician for second opinion to make sure this was not an indication of a bigger problem.
Performed diagnosis for bigger problem, such as cracks in heating element, which sits below the A/C condenser drip tray.
Installed new part.
