The client had back steps that were cracked, unsightly and unsafe. The sidewalk was cracked in many places. Dominic repaired the steps and the sidewalk and did a fantastic job. He was also positive, cleaned up after his work and paid close attention to be sure that he didn't block the neighbor's side of the driveway.  Would definitely recommend again.

Dominic was extremely busy and it took a a few weeks for him to get to our project, but it was worth the wait.  He and his crew worked efficiently and professionally with care and cleaned the work site each day.  A building contractor working at a neighbor's house and who has worked at our house commented that Dominic and his crew were doing very good work.  One thing that stands out in particular is that the porch steps, which I believe were the original steps, did not flow quite right  - the rise of the steps was inconsistent.  Over time, the steps had become pitched.  Dominic fixed the rise and run of the steps on the porch and I noticed it right away the first time I walked on them.  I would also note that Dominic's quote was competitive with others we received for the project.

This is the second time I used them.
I sold my house and the township gave me 2 weeks to replace the sidewalk or no closing.
I explained the situation to Dominic and he was there the next week.
The work is excellent and the price fair.
Check it out at 562 Haveford Road, Haverown.

We retained Umberto's services twice when we first built our house over a dozen years ago--once to initially surface the drive and a second time after all the construction trucks were done. He did an excellent job then, and only after the brutal snow storms of recent years did we feel the need to resurface the driveway again. As part of the resurface plan we decided to replace the gravel at the entry to our garages with asphalt. The rest of the 800' drive will remain gravel (to be resurfaced in the spring).  Umberto and his crew did an excellent job, meeting all our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
I prefer not to provide cost of service. Each job is different based on size and other issues to be addressed (e.g., we had to have drainage installed on one side of the drive). Suffice it to say, we felt his quote was very fair.

Beautiful work! Dominic made fantastic suggestions and provided a beautiful new entry to our home. Put in slate steps and covered entry. Roof was constructed of seamed metal with a custom metal support. One of the best contractors I have ever worked with. Reliable, creative and a really nice person!

The Scutti company EXCEEDED our expectations.  The workmanship was outstanding and was in total compliance with Lower Merion Township building codes.  They work quickly and their fees were very reasonable.  After completing the job, they were fastidious in cleaning the job site and removing all debris. We have used the family-owned company in the past with great results, and intend to use them to rebuild our basement in the future. We would not hesitate to recommend SCUTTI to anyone looking for a high-quality residential or commercial contractor.

A 37' section of an original stone wall that surrounds my 250 yr old house was destroyed when 5 trees fell on it. I wanted it restored using the native stones. Dominic assessed the situation promptly. He and his crew were very professional. They reassembled that section like it was a puzzle;fitting each tightly to match the rest of the wall. Their workmanship was outstanding!

I think they were great. They did a good job. They were prompt.  The color matched well, which isn't easy to do on an old house.

They were very professional.  Their price was a little high and I did not hire them but I wish I had.  The next time I am looking for a mason, I will look at them first.  They were good.

Received quote to replace damaged stucco on a major portion of one side of the house. During removal of the stucco other damage was discovered which was repaired. Though the scope of work changed during the project (with a 100+ year old house you always find more than you expect during demolition) I felt the cost for scope changes was fair. I am impressed with the quality of workmanship and follow up that the company provided.

They are always very professional, and, importantly, they look for the source of the problem and advise me as to how to fix it, such as finding improperly installed flashing, rather than simply covering over the problem. Their stucco work looks fantastic. My home has the stucco with the pebbled texture, and they were able to match it with new stucco- pebbles imbedded! They always clean up carefully before leaving. I definitely recommend them.

Everything was great and he did a great job. He seemed very honest and very professional. I was very happy with him and that is why I wanted to get an estimate from him for the basement leak because I liked his work on the sidewalk.

Our older home had multiple areas of crumbling stone walkways and a patio with a cracked foundation and decaying support columns for the patio roof. The Scutti brothers came highly recommended from previous customers and were very professional right from the start. They responded quickly to our initial inquiry and prepared a detailed estimate of work that addressed all of our concerns. They work started reasonably on time and progressed according to the estimated schedule. We had the same crew of workmen each day and they made sure to introduce themselves and tell us what they intended to accomplish that day. This was a complex project and the Scutti brothers delivered a great final outcome. I would not hesitate to use them again for masonry and related general contracting projects.

I left a voice-mail with this company, along with 5 or 6 others, the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. (I didn't expect to hear back from anyone until Tuesday.) These guys were the first ones that got back to me - they called bright and early Tuesday morning and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Not only that, but only one other company ever called me back at all! My backyard neighbor is up the hill from me and I have a 10-12 foot stone retaining wall as the back boundary of my backyard that basically keeps his yard from spilling down into mine. This wall has got to be at least 80-90 years old, because my house dates from 1920. I've only been in this house for a few years and I just now tore out some giant ugly bushes that screened the wall and saw some scary holes where stones had fallen out of the wall over the years. (It's mostly a dry-stone wall; at some point someone added some cement to the top half.) Dominick came out today and did not try to sell me services I didn't need. After asking me what plans I had for the area directly below the wall, he explained that just putting stones back into those holes wouldn't actually do anything - it would just be less scary to look at. He honestly told me that the only real way to fix the wall would be to rip it all out and rebuild it. He reassured me that, allowing for the fact that he cannot see into the future, the wall may very well stand for years as it is now. He also gave me some advice on keeping an eye on it, especially when there are heavy rains, for instance. He did take some measurements and said he will send me an estimate for rebuilding the whole wall, but at no time did I feel pressured to commit to the work and, as a result, if I ever do have to get the wall rebuilt (God forbid), I am going to call Umberto Scutti first!

They were great. They always showed up on time. They stuck to the quote and outlined clearly what they would do. They stuck to the estimate to the "t" and did just what we asked for. They came out sooner than expected, but called ahead to verify that it was convenient. They were excellent communicators. They did an excellent job and their price was great.

Have seen the stucco in the neighborhood and wanted an estimate. Have not hired yet since I'm still thinking about what to do with my basement.
