I hired The Pack Rats,(whomI found on "Angie's List), to pack my entire kitchen for a complete kitchen renovation rather than a move. I was hopeful but skeptical that any one would be interested in doing that. I was wrong. Bill Rose, the owner, was very kind, and set-up a date mutually workable for both of us. This morning Bill and his partner, Duke, arrived promptly at the arranged time and promptly went to work. In 4hours they packed my entire large kitchen, stand alone hutch, and 2 pantries. They were courteous, very professional, mindful of what they were packing, (as there were many antiques), and because this was not a move, aware of where and how they put the boxes in the foyer, in order to leave access to front door, closets, and living room. I would recommend them to anyone with a great deal of confidence! I would use them again without hesitation! I am one happy camper!

Excellent movers. Everything was packed and moved without any problems. Movers were very obliging and moved some furniture within the home to accomodate family. Very clean, professional and great personalities. Used in the past to move from one apartment to another approximately 25 miles away. Had to store some furniture with them for about one year. Funiture was bubblewrapped and stored well, returned without any damage. Would highly recommend these movers. Very happy with their service.

They were great and very pleasant to deal with. They were very professional, helpful, and on time. Their prices were very competitive.

I called roughly 3 weeks ahead of my move date and left a message that was returned very promptly - I believe the gentleman I spoke with was Mike. I described the contents of my apartment, and based on my description he gave me an estimate that seemed fair. I was still a little uncomfortable that I hadn't given a complete enough description of what I was moving, so I called again and asked if Mike would come and actually look at my furniture & boxes to confirm the estimate. He did this and was able to confirm the estimate he had given by phone. On moving day Mike and his crew arrived about 20 - 30 minutes early....maybe 7:30 or so. It was already sweltering, but they got right to work. They were really quick and efficient - had the truck loaded in under 2 hours. They were clearly very experienced and handled my items as though they were their own. Things went just as smoothly when we arrived at my destination - the offloading was very speedy despite the overwhelming heat (I believe the heat index was over 100 that day). I know there are other moving companies in the area that are more glitzy and flashy, but I was thrilled with my experience with Pack Rats and would highly recommend them to anyone in the Philly area looking for a mover.

I had a very challenging logistical situation and was under a lot of stress (due to problems with closing), but Bill handled everything very professionally. The loading of our belongings from the old house to the truck went very smoothly. We were supposed to unload at the new house the following Monday, but my mortgage company was causing all kinds of delays, forcing me to ask Bill to delay unloading at the new house. Not only was Bill very flexible about allowing me to keep my stuff on his truck during the delay, he was very nice about the whole thing, despite my having to cancel and reschedule delivery several times at the last minute. I doubt that another mover would have been so willing to work with me on this and not put extra pressure on me in what was already a very stressful situation! Delivery at the new house went very smoothly. All of the movers were very careful with our furniture and other personal items, and they followed my instructions re: where to place things such that when we started unpacking, we could easily find specific boxes. I would most definitely recommend The Pack Rats to others!

After receiving the information about the company on Angie's list, I called and arrnaged for a quote and received an hourly ratre for thre service I requested and the options for how I might utilize their services. We scheduled a time for them to come out and they were right on time. The owner was very pleasant and came out with two other gentleman, who were also very courteous. The three finished their work very quickly and checked in with me often about what my preferences were. I will use them again to finish the remaining packing once the house is sold.

The two movers came early and were very professional. They were obviously very experienced movers and did an excellent job. They removed the shelves before moving the units and put them back in place afterward. They were careful about the floors and anything that might get hit in the moving process. I am happy with the job and impressed with their service. I have had a lot of experience with movers in the past.

They were very prompt and did what they said they would. The initial quote was low, but as it was based on an hourly rate, and they worked without a break, it was fine. The rate quote was based on 3 men, and when only 2 showed up for the first hour, Bill charged me a lower rate for that hour, without my asking! They reassembled my furniture even without my requesting it and divided the work so that one man was doing that while the other two continued hauling stuff.

I wanted to update this report because I felt like I was doing a real disservice to this company because the original report was so vague and short. I purchased a new home and had to be out of my apartment the same day as my closing. I also had a ton of stuff in a storage facility. Bill and his crew were not only on time but early. They went to work right away. While I was at closing, the 3 guys loaded up their truck with all the stuff from my apartment, then went to my storage room and moved everything out. By the time I was done with closing and arrived at my house they were already there unloading. They didn't stop for lunch and barely stopped to take a drink of water. They finished around 4:30pm after starting at 8:00am. These guys work so hard!
