"Appreciate all clients - even those that are retired and shadow a contractor on the project. Craig choose to view the project(Chimney Repairs) from the back yard and frequently came on the roof to inspect the work. What was the project? Water was coming into the house from both chimneys during a rain storm. I assessed the associated problems causing the water damages and repaired the chimney. I rebuilt the chimney crowns/2, removed the old /dry caulk from the metal flashing and resealed the flashing with rubber cement. I wasn't on a time clock. I run 6-7 days a week projects - Craig's was largely 2 weekends of work(Saturdays/2 + one Sunday). No mention of a water leak anymore... Translation (Damages solved). We have had 3 days of rain/poor weather for the last 3 months. I overlap work and shift from job to job as time allows. I shifted from one job, left supplies with a co-worker, and made a supply pick up from a local hardware store - shot me now because apparently I am not perfect. But the water damages have not resurfaced with all the rain we have had since I finished the work 3 weeks ago. I think I did an awesome job. I didn't overcharges, work was completed against poor weather conditions, and the repairs were covered up /protected while I waited to return on a positive day. "This customer has selective memory and is a spiteful individual. I informed her the week before that I was relocating from Windsor to Wrightsville over June 4-5 weekend. She text-messaged at 9:15am/Monday/June 6 morning that her daughter relayed I hadn't come yet. I responded within 15-20 minutes and spoke directly to her. I apologized about my delay - the move was taking me more than I expected. I requested a two day shift in the project to Wednesday( the overall project was a 3 day event). I took pictures before starting, as work progressed, and at the end. She stated she like the way the fence turned out. The customer said she was going out of town for the week and couldn't pay me right away. She was ten minutes from my new location and knew it. Week one led into week two - I e-mailed about payment. About 2 weeks out from completion a check arrived $200.00 short. I e-mailed what was the story... She replied that she hadn't accepted my apology and shorted me for the trouble she went through. We e-mailed back and forth - finally she paid the balance owed. Then a week later we saw each at the local Turkey Hill Mini-Market. I acknowledged her presence - she didn't return the greeting. Within 24 hrs. I got the poor review she had threated me with when she shorted me $200.00. I have all the e-mails/text messages and pictures of the job. I treated her property with respect - cleaning up at the end of each day. When the neighbor came over with a request about a missing stake - I said I would look for it and return it if found. I found the metal stake and returned it to his front porch. If this lady is God's gift to humanity - I say he can keep the gift. Walter Miller Phoenix Remodeling"
