There were a lot of custom details in our project like a heated bathroom floor, log siding, stone veneer on the front stoop, pocket interior doors, and a round-top entry door. The crew met every challenge and exceeded our expectations every time. We can't think of any aspect of the job that we aren't happy with.
We are contemplating, in the future, renovating another bathroom in our home and would definately use Weaver Construction again.
Our dishwasher supply line broke and flooded our kitchen ruining the floor. Water ran through the floor into the finished basement and destroyed the basement ceiling, carpet, etc. It also ran into the downstairs bathroom and laundry room. The insurance adjuster recommended Weaver Building and Remodeling.
We were very happy with his initial work. Since we had to get so much of the basement redone because of the water damage, we had him do additional remodeling. We had planned on redoing the basement a few years down the road, and we realized this was the time to do it. Doug was very good at getting back to us if he wasn't able to take our calls immediately (which he usually did). He was also very patient with us as we changed our minds about things several times during the project.
Our water heater stopped working the day of the flood which was weird, but I thought it was probably just a coincidence. I mentioned it anyway just because. Doug called the manufacturer of the water heater and in talking to them decided that the control box of the water heater got damaged in the flood. He was able to get us a new water heater since they didn't sell that control box anymore. We didn't have to talk to the insurance company about it (or anything else) as it was all handled without our input. (The insurance company was great to us also.)
I was really apprehensive during this work since I've heard so many horror stories about contractors. I worried for nothing since everything turned out great. We would certainly use Weaver Building and Remodeling again without any reservations. We love our new improved basement and getting our lives back to normal has been helpful to our sanity.
Had a problem with a nest of bees that made their home in the ceiling of a small bedroom. The house had been empty for many years and the hive was quite large. I had a beeman remove the hive, but it required him to cut a hole in the bedroom ceiling. So I needed someone to prevent the bees from returning, remove any remaining honeycomb, and repair the room.
Unfortunately, I had trouble finding a contractor who was willing to work with me since I am located in New Jersey. Doug Weaver was willing to work with me. Since the house was empty, he could stop & start the project as he needed, but he did not delay in the repairs. He started before I expected him to, and I understand his workers even worked on weekends! (I have a neighbor who acts as caretaker & kept me up to date on the progress). We were able to communicate by phone to get the job done in a timely manner. I will be more than willing to work with Doug again, since my old house has many projects that still need completion!
The second round of work, which occurred a couple weeks later, was to replace old interior and storm doors on the main and secondary entrances to our home. Doug Weaver dropped off catalogs of doors for us to look through and then consulted with us over the phone about our selections. He got back to us in a few days with prices. Once we made our selection, he placed the order and a week or so later called to scheduled the installation. His crew arrived on the scheduled date, on time, and began work immediately. They completed the installation of all four doors in one day. One of the storm doors wasn't closing properly after the crew left, so we called Doug and the installer returned the next day and fixed the problem.
The crews for both projects arrived promptly, were courteous and respectful, and did great clean up and removal work. Doug checked in frequently and inspected the final results as well. Questions we had were answered promptly. We will definitely hire Weaver Builders again.
The work was completed in 5 days even with the weather. And cleanup was thorough.
All were very courteous and diligent. They did a great job!
I would highly recommend this builder/roofer anytime. He is honest and reliable.
