PLINER SOLUTIONS

I am the IT manager responsible for selecting, implementing, and maintaining their services. They are a local company that provides web design/hosting services. We've used them very little for design services, but they've done a great job with what we have required and in a short time. We mainly use them for hosting and for email services, and have used them for these services for a year. They offer IMAP emails so our project managers are able to see the emails they sent from their Blackberries show up in their sent folders on their computers when they get back to the office. It works great. As with all technology, there have been some bugs. There were a few times that the email was down, but I think they got it back up all 4 times in less than an hour. We were offered free email and web hosting by the company that provided us with our Internet connection, but we weren't happy with the number of junk emails we were receiving. The owner would get 25+ per day. Once we switched to Pliner, things were greatly reduced. They installed new software several months ago that reduced it even more. Now, we might get 1 spam a day--many days we don't get any. Every day we get a report that shows items that the system thinks might not have been spam and we have the option of releasing any wrongly-blocked email. Once in a great while a legitimate email gets blocked, but you're able to release it when you get the report (or you can go to their website and view the report at any time to release it). They offer email via an Exchange server as well, but we opted not to go with this option.
