Green Hill Fencing

Since this was a relatively small job, I expected to wait quite a bit for any response, if I even received a response. I really needed it fixed as we have a pool and a dog and mentioned that in my request for a quote. To my surprise, I heard back quickly, provided some pictures, and the latch was fixed in a matter of days. Highly recommended - Steve knows his stuff!

Greenhill Fencing removed a dilapidated 3-foot picket and installed a new 6-foot wood lattice fence plus 2 gates (1 for each set of stairs that leads to the street) along a rather long, sidewalk-facing side of my yard. Steve gave a competitive quote and Greenhill was one of the only companies that was able to commit to doing the work anywhere near our preferred timeline (back in the fall 2020, within 5-6 weeks). The fence looks great overall and I've actually gotten a couple of compliments from neighbors. There were a couple of issues (loose lattice and ~2 months later some of the posts became crooked and interfered with opening one of the gates), but Steve personally came out to ascertain the situation. From beginning to end everything was fixed in a few weeks time, which is good considering that the time the one-man crew spent totaled almost 1/2 a workday. Afterwards, Steve was very thorough/persistent in following up to make sure that everything was made right. We decided to go with Greenhill again for the next chunk of fencing we need and Steve has taken a similarly thorough approach to understanding exactly what we would like done. If you're like me, you consider going with the company that has an involved owner who cares deeply about the quality of his team's work a big "pro." At the very least, call and set up an estimate - I'm glad I did!

Love our new fence. Overall very satisfied. Steve was very helpful throughout the process. We've had the fence for 1.5+ years. Steve came out and went above and beyond to help with a repair from recent storm damage. Would definitely look to use Greenhill again in the future.

I spoke with Steve who came out to prepare a cost estimate to replace my large fence project. However, I could never obtain a quote from him. I called him many times and he would always tell me he was working on a proposal and would send it right out which never happened. After 4 months he finally told me he was too busy to handle my job.

Steve (owner) and the Greenhill Fencing crew were punctual, professional, and thorough from the beginning. It was clear from the estimate that Greenhill was the company for us. The price was right and we weren't disappointed in the quality of the finished product. They worked with us to establish the fence lines within our property line to maximize usable yard space and the best locations for the three gates that were installed. They installed the fence over two days and cleaned up after each day. The owner even came back to make some minor repairs promptly after a large tree branch fell on a portion of our fence after a major thunderstorm blew through only one day after the fence was installed.

They put in a 400' fence.  He was here when he said he would be here to give a quote, he was here exactly on time, which is rare, their people were here when he said they'd be here to do the job, and they cleaned everything up.  I only had to pick up a couple of small pieces of fence off the lawn because I happened to walk by and see it lying on the sidewalk, but that's minor.  They were very professional.  They came back the following day to make sure everything was good. 

Great crew! Professional, neat, courteous and fast! Installed an aluminum fence in two days, which is what they anticipated to complete the work. I found their price to be fair, and I was very happy with Steve and his crew.

We called Green Hill Fence to come out and give us an estimate on fencing our property. When Steve arrived on our agreed upon day and time. He was very friendly and knowledgeable! I through I already knew what kind of fence we were going to get but after chatting about fence styles, Steve mentioned about a slip rail fence instead of a split rail, well as soon as we saw a picture we were sold!! Steve's estimate came in considerably lower then the other 3 we had already received. I love our fence and how no one else in our neighborhood has on like it.The project took his crew of 2 guys two days to complete. Both days they were punctual and worked their butts off 8 plus hours each day ! I can't speak highly enough of this company an their professionalism !

I immediately called, I was greeted by a friendly hello from Stephen DiGiuseppe.  Steve came out on the same day, gave me an estimate with the best price.  Steve and his crew were prompt, courteous and got the job done on time. 
Followup, I called Steve after receiving damage to my fence from a fallen tree.  Steve came out the same day, cut away branches assessed the situation, gave me a quote, and fixed and replaced the fence timely. 
My dogs love their space and I couldn?t be happier!  Thanks Steve.

Terra Nova completed a split-rail fence for my new house last week. I did extensive research before choosing them -- I got four quotes from well-reviewed fence companies. I ended up choosing Terra Nova because I felt I could trust them: Steve was straightforward and no-nonsense. He gave me a good quote and guaranteed that he wouldn't exceed it -- no one else would do that. He helped me navigate the bourough's permit process, which went smoothly. The team that did the actual installation were professional, efficient, and kept the site tidy. I had a pretty difficult installation as our property line went through old bushes, trees, and roots. They hit the line nearly perfectly and trimmed what was necessary, but left everything they could as I wanted. (I also wanted the trimmed branches left behind for firewood -- one of the guys cut it into fireplace-sized pieces without me having to ask.)
All in all, we're happy -- the fence looks great, it's keeping our dogs in quite well, and when it came time to pay, Steve was true to his word. He charged me *exactly* what I was quoted, and not a penny more.
Incidentally, the Verizon guy was there as the fence was being finished, and he was so impressed with the work and the price that he asked me for Terra Nova's contact information so he could get his own fence... I recommend these guys -- I'm happy with my choice to use them.

Fair pricing, great customer service and good workmanship. Steve and Chris did a fantastic job. Showed up on time, completed the installation, and thoroughly cleaned up the job site. I was very satisfied at the completion of the project.

The guy from Terra Nova Property Solutions was a nice guy. He is very polite. He did an okay job. He had to come back and do some corrections. My felling is just he should have done it the first time when you are a contractor. There were a lot of things were not fixed that were supposed to be. My husband and I have to go out in the yard and fill a bunch of wholes and there were concrete piles left and things like that. I called them back once because the fence was terrible and the gate. He fixed the gate and did a wonderful job. I just felt like he didn?t pay attention to detail of the job.

UPDATE: This review is an amendment to former review given over the phone.   Steve from Terra Nova Solutions came back and fixed a couple of the things that needed to be addressed from our fence installation back in 2012.  He filled in the holes from the former fence posts and fixed the gate that had gotten loose over the winter.

They came and repaired my old stockade fence. Arrived as promised and completed the job professionally. Originally they were only going to repair the gate but when they determined that it really needed replacing did so with out any extra charge.
