Jamie and George came out and were in and out. Cleaned everything out, and even walked me through how to use and operate the wood stove. Great company.

I found Gannon Chimney Repair, Inc., to be an outstanding service. I called the company on the evening of 7 Nov, and was contacted by P. Gannon in person on the morning of 8th Nov. Mr. Gannon was a thorough professional and put together a service package that fit into my budget. Gannon's technicians arrived on the morning of 9 Nov, and completed a beautiful job in about five hours. Cleanup was impressive also. Everything about the experience was positive. I think Gannon Chimney repair is great. They were good. I was real happy with them. The guys who came out have nice personalities, friendly, appreciated how they conducted themselves, they did an nice job. I have an warranty on my chimney, and not too many companies will give you an warranty on your chimney. The only thing that they will ask, is every year get your chimney cleaned, due to using it every day, creasol  stuff builds up, and it can have trouble, and you can get it cleaned every year. My chimney looked like it had been hit by lightening. I had other companies, but they could not guarantee anything. It took an week to do it, had to do it in stages. They had to take down the damage stuff, and they rebuilt it up, and had to let the cement dry, and had to put the inside up in it, to let the smoke go up in this chamber, and then had to do the stucco, but you got to let that dry, and skip a day, to do the next one. Its not like slam bam thank you ma'am,and your done. They did it by the book, and I appreciate it. People said the chimney looked really nice now, and I am pleased with them, and with Angie's List. I will have to have him back out to put a piece of metal on the roof, where water washes down, once I replace my gutters.

Gannon cleaned the chimney.  Afterwards, the representative mentioned that the chimney box needed further work, but he said it was not crucial at the time.  He then quoted a ballpark figure and left it at that.  No pressure.  Just information.

We have used the company in the past. Gannon ended up fixing the issue free of charge knowing that we will continue using them. One technician came out for the service. He is a very nice guy and really knows his stuff. I had no issues scheduling an appointment with them.

Fine no problems no need to have to call back

They gave us a really great price from the other people that we called. It really looks nice. I'm a woman and I don't really care about chimney repair but aesthetically I was amazed at how much difference it made to have the chimney redone and recoated. It looked really nice. We have to have another one done eventually. We have a pretty big house and I will use them again.
They were on time, they did exactly what they said they were going to do, we were very pleased.

I am happy to say that we used Gannon's before I knew of Angie in this area! Completely satisfied and have recommended them to others.

Was quoted 370.00 over the phone but charges 461.00 after service. I had to ask why since they didn't offer explanation. Was told the increase was due to it being a propane fireplace. During and quot;quoteand quot; phase it was never explained that it would make a difference. The men were polite, professional and cleaned up after themselves so I didn't create a problem over it. I was given a quote for replacing the liner of home heating system chimney of approximately 3100.00 I did have Above All Chimney come out afterwards for a competitive quote. I watched when he reached up and pulled handfuls of debris out of the fireplace chimney. The heating system chimney was also dirty. Their quote for replacing the liner was apprx. 1100.00 plus 85.00 to clean the chimney. We had Above Chimney do the work. Repeated calls to Gannon Chimney left no resolution to the situation of their inappropriate cleaning or perhaps none at all. Called the office about 3 times and was assured each time that Patrick was to call back but to no avail. Definitely will dissuade others from using this company as I am not at all pleased with their work ethics and they are not the professionals they originally portrayed themselves to be.

Gannon did a very nice job. They were very professional and easy to have around. They even did minor repair to the wall adjoining the chimney. The days they were working were very hot and they were working on a scaffold on the roof. They remained very pleasant. They cleaned up after themselves and left us with a beautiful new chimney.

They were very good. I was very satisfied with the work they did. I really trusted what they did. They came very promptly and they did a good job. I was very happy and satisfied with what they did for me. I didn't compare their prices, but it was fine.

I obtained 3 estimates for the work. Gannon happened to be the least expensive, by far, and the most knowledgable in what I needed and how to proceed. They also included extra work (#2 above) which the other estimates did not.
They were very responsive, punctual and professional.

eVERY THING WENT FINE

Gannon finished in the time they stated (3-days - allowing for drying of stucco scratch coat). They did an excellent job. Cleanup was also excellent. Obtained several estimates and although Gannon was highest, we felt they were subject matter experts. Their years of experience shown through.

In April, I got a number of estimates for this job. After talking with Gannon, I asked him when he thought the work could be done and he said to call the office and they'd set up a date. I never got a call back over the course of two weeks. I called again asking if they had any availability but never heard anything back.

He gave me the estimate 4.25.2012. Then I got a bill from them for $725 saying that all the work was done on 5.1.2012. I couldn't tell that any work was done. My neighbors didn't see anything. The bills all state and quot;all debris WILL BE removed from job siteand quot; - stated in the future tense.

Of course I called and the person I spoke to said that she probably sent me the wrong bill, which sounded pretty bad in itself. I got another bill and called again. I asked specifically for George Gannon, who gave me the estimate, each time I called, I kept being told he was unavailable and he never returned my calls.

They insisted that they did do the work! They'd never gotten my authorization to do it though! I kept getting bills and kept calling asking to talk to George. Five months - he never called. The office manager, Joan, said he tried to call once, which he did, but it was all static because he was on his cell. I called the office and told them to have him call me on a landline - He never did.

He didn't call back again until I called saying the problem still existed - That my wall was damp and they'd capped the wrong chimney. There's still a water problem. Apparently they came, again without telling me, and put a note on the door saying that work was completed, that they'd checked the roof, found nothing wrong and said and quot;I hope this makes you feel betterand quot;, which I found condescending. I called Joan and she said George would call me Monday morning. My ringer was off and I didn't realize it, but there was a message from George Monday morning saying they'd send someone over right away. I called Joan to find out when someone was coming so I'd be home. Four days later, I haven't heard from or seen anyone.

I called the Senior Law Center and told a lawyer everything and he sent me a letter saying that I needed to talk to Gannon and tell him that when they cap the right chimney I'll pay, but I've never been able to get a hold of anyone!! It's October; this started in April. This problem is still here just because he hasn't had the common courtesy to call and have a conversation with me about this situation. I want to move on from this project and have it done right!
