The cable service is reliable and the technicians are competent. The internet broadband offers a few options for download speeds but only 2Mbps for upload with no other option.  Overall, I am satisfied with the service. My only wish is that we had options in our area.  If I want full service (especially with cable broadband), my only choice is Service Electric.  It is not that I believe Blue Ridge, Comcast, Verizon FIOS, etc are any better... I simply wish I had a choice.  In my opinion, choices keep prices and service competitive and the general public wins.

When I moved in I got internet. I just got the very basic for the internet. It is for $50 but TV is included, just for basic TV. Actually it is like for $47 including the tax and everything. I didn't care about the TV at all. In fact I called to get internet and that was $35 a month and a month later they added basic TV to it so I called them and they just put it on, same price.

I have no complaints about the television and only one with the phone service. Both services are as promised, the internet on the other hand does not meet my expectations. First, no one ever set up the e-mail accounts that are supplied with the service. The internet connection itself in the evenings is no better than DSL. I am a small business owner and rely on the internet in the evenings when I am home to do my banking, emails and other business related items. The connection in the evenings in slow and many times non existent. I switched from DSL to cable because I was told that cable does not have the flow problems at peak hours........... Thats a joke. This is as slow or slower than DSL. If there were other cable ISP providers in town I would switch.

UPDATE: 
After 2.5 years with service electric and relatively good service, we've had nothing but trouble with internet for 3 months. When I called, they said our payments were 3 months behind! We had our payments automatically withdrawn from our checking account every month for almost 30 months! Then they stopped processing the payments for no apparent season and with no notice. I know I should have noticed, but I didn't. Service Electric did waive part of the late fees, but it was still a bad enough experience for me to drop their cable and phone service. We have only internet service through them, and I will drop that as soon as I find a better alternative. 


We shopped around to find the best price for internet and cable. We ended up getting  landline phone service too because it was included in the price.
The sales rep on the phone was pretty good, no complaints. We were able to get a pretty quick install date. They were even offering a discount on installation at the time.
The installation professional was the best--on time, worked well, really made sure everything was right--internet speed was optimal, switched out cable box till he had it just right, made sure we didn't have too much or not enough cable for the tv in each room--enough to move the tv if we wanted. Because our bedrooms were not previously set up for cable, it took a bit longer than he expected, but he was professional throughout the install.
WE have been happy w/ quality of service. no billing problems.

I dislike that there is no other service provider than Service Electric Cable. They have not been so bad, but I think their prices are a little high. Their price includes phone, cable and internet. Phone and cable are excellent. Internet is not so good. Their responsiveness is good - when I call, they are here.

They are the only service in this area. When I had a service call with them, they were able to send someone to my house pretty quickly.

We had not had any problems with Service Electric Cable TV Inc. so far. We have been extremely happy with them.
