They recently replaced our Roof and did an Excellent Job !!! They were very quick and cleaned up very good.

Roof went well. still waiting to pay.(over 2 weeks now) left material in front yard, and someone stole it! Dumpster is still waiting in front of house to be taken away! I would not recommend him. Lots more I can say, but, I 'll leave the rest to be silent.

Had difficulty getting in touch with the company . After 3 calls to answering service over a few days Mr Gilroy completed an estimate. Took a few more calls through his answering service to tell him he got the contract. He gave me a date and time his staff would be there (They showed on time, polite, courteous) They completed the work and did a great job of clean up within 2 days. Very happy with the workmanship of his staff. They only down note to the company is that there seems to be a problem with his Answering service giving messages in a timely manner or his response to.

Excellently, Roof looks great and the cleanup off all shingles and nails was performed in professional manor. Cost was slightly higher than most other contractor proposals, but you get what you pay for these days. All work was completed in one day, which was impressive as well.

The crew replaced the roof in one day and cleaned up all debris. They were polite, prompt and hard workers. I am glad to have chosen Gilroy Construction to replace the roof and gutters on my home and will use them for any repairs or improvements I will make in the future. Excellent company.

The house had 2 roofs on it meaning 2 sets of shingles on it they started at 7 done by 2:30 clean up and gone then I put in R30 insulation with R19 already in it.I thought all ventilation would handle the insulation but we got new windows and doors I seen our siding sweating 1 cold morning checked the attic sure enough ice on inside I didn't know what to do so I called ed Gilroy he came in 15 min checked the attic no eve vent only solid he said all I did was a good idea but the eves had to be opened asap a couple days before Christmas he was busy but sent a crew up 1day later and told me what to do in the mean time wow new vented eves super dry attic this guy is to nice really!Made me feel calm and said we will handle it and they did great roof also thanks Ed and crew thank you thank you thank you and great price no hidden cost

Mr Ed Gilroy was completely professional, kind and courteous.  Though very busy, he always returned my calls in a timely manner, and took extra time helping me stay calm during a very stressful process.  My roof was badly leaking and he took that into consideration in getting it done well in advance of the agreed to time frame. I am a full time caregiver to my very elderly mother, and Mr. Gilroy was extraordinarily kind, thoughtful, and understanding of my situation and the stresses involved.

I am still awestruck at how quickly and beautifully the work was completed. 

At 7 am a crew arrived to unload equipment.   By 10:30am the whole roof was stripped and by early afternoon a large crew were working up both sides of my roof at once.  It was obvious they were very experienced and totally knew what they were doing.  I was extremely awestruck and impressed!  By late afternoon the whole job was complete and the area cleaned up. I honestly have never witnessed such efficiency before and I have been involved in several other construction projects in the past.

They got it done to perfection! We had a very bad ice storm that damaged the previous roof, and after they installed the new roof we had another ice storm and nothing was damaged.

Overall, working with Gilroy was a very good experience. No problems. The crew was excellent, they work hard and do fantastic work. All together, the roof is about 2,500 sq ft and it took about 4 days which included ripping off the old roof.
The new roof looks great and most importantly, no leaks.

Had water leak 5/2010 called Gilroy and NEVER got a call back. Had to have new roof put on 8/2014.( That is 15 years with contract stating 25 year life. Current contractor found mold, ridge vents that were installed, but no vent holes were cut into the front wood  sheets. Portion of front roof and all of rear roof had osb (particle board) nailed over the bottom layer of cdx (plywood).OSB sheets were NOT nailed into rafters, just into the cdx.

The roof is on and it looks GREAT!! The job was done well and the cleanup was superb.  
We would recommend Gilroy to anyone who needed roofing done.

My experience with Gilroy Roofing was outstanding.  First ,the quote I received was detailed and submitted in a timely manner. The price quoted was outstanding compared to other quotes I received.  Once contacted that I had chosen them to replace my roof the service I received from Gilroy was also outstanding.  No payment until the job was 100 percent completed.  I entire roof was completed in two working days with no disruption to my household activities.  The men arrived at sunrise  and were very meticulous.  Everything around my home was tarped prior to starting the project and spotless when the roof was completed.  Kudos to Mr. Gilroy's workers as they were hardworking, courteous and very professional.  I would most definitely hire Gilroy construction for any future projects I may have.

It went quite smoothly....My father was a carpenter and I know what a good job is and isn't.  The crew was hard working, quick, thorough, and clean.  I hardly knew they were there.  Mr. Gilroy explained each step as it was being done and gave me notice beforehand of any changes or unforeseen circumstances. Excellent work!

Mr. Gilroy gave me the best quote out of 5 other contractors and along with all his positive reviews I decided to go with him. It took no time at all even when we realized all the wood from underneath the shingles were rotted and all had to be replaced that wasn't in the origanla scope of work but gave me a fair price and was upfront and honest the whole way. I would def recommend Gilroy Construction to anyone looking for at least getting their roof done if not more. Plus Mr. Gilroy does not except any payment until the job is completed.

I am the proud owner of a three story house that, unfortunately, had shingles gradually falling off the roof, thanks to huge storms such as Hurricane Sandy. I decided to start looking at my local construction buisnesses and decided that Gilroy Construction was the best for the job. The owner, Ed Gilroy, responded to me quickly, was very friendly, and had the best pricing when compared to the three other businesses. They were fast, efficient, and very hard workers. They finished removing and reshingling our 34x60ft roof in a matter of one and a half days! They began working at 7am and didn't finish until 6:30pm. Not only did they do a fantastic job with the roof, but they also did a spectacular clean-up job and were very friendly. They even cleaned out my rain gutters! I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a fast, friendly, efficent, and dedicated business.

     The owner oversaw the entire process and would not accept any payment until after he thoroughly inspected all work performed. The crew performed an extremely detailed clean-up, and they left my property looking even better than it was prior to beginning the job. Every aspect of the process deserves an A+. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a new roof.

When Edmund and his crew came to our home, they were very professional.  They got right to work and finished very quickly.  When they finished on the second day, they left our home as it was when they got there. Edmund's crew cleaned our yard to the point you wouldn't have even known we just had a roof put on. there wasn't even a nail left in the yard for me to clean up.  
Our new roof looks fantastic.   I would recommend Gilroy Construction to anyone looking to get a new roof.   My parents also had a roof put on from Gilroy, and they were just as satisfied.

I called three companies for quotes.  Out of the three, Gilroy construction was the most competitive.  Upon arrival they were very prompt and professional.  They were honest and completed the job as agreed upon.  Would highly recommend them!

Severe leak in September 2011 with Hurricane Irene. Ed finally returned messages left with his answering service. He indicated leak was probably "once in a lifetime thing" given the nature of the storm. Even so, he agreed to look at roof, but to my knowledge, never did. Roof leaked two more times during storms following Irene. Finally tracked Ed down again, on his cell, after leaving messages with answering service. He said he would come to townhouse next day and I was to call him in morning, which I did. He answered and said he was tied up in Dallas area, but would be there mid afternoon, which came and went. Did not answer subsequent calls to cell phone. I never once lost my temper or accused him of doing anything wrong or said I would not pay for whatever was issue.

From the first day they showed up I had problems. The neighbors were complaining about damage to their property. My tenet was complaining about their workers being unprofessional, and nobody on the job spoke English. Ed Gilroy only showed up a couple of times over the course of ten days. Ed will talk great but never accomplish what he says. I told them they could trim back the neighbors tree to the property line. His guys cut off the top 10' of the tree and left it hanging in the tree for me to deal with. He never used a generator instead he kept blowing my fuses to fix it they stuck a 40 amp fuse in instead of a 15 amp fuse, huge fire danger! I have found flashing missing and they won't come back and fix it. I have called non stop for three months and can not get them to fix it. I would never let these guys on my property again.

We purchased our home with a new Gilroy Roof. The roof has a 30 year parts and labor warranty. This past September we noticed a small leak on our second floor. We traced it back to the attic and discovered that the roof was leaking. We have spent the last three months trying to get Gilroy to come back and fix the problem. The leak continues to get worse. It has damaged three rooms on our second floor and it has followed the rafters down into our kitchen and has caused damage to our Kitchen ceiling. It has come to us hiring an attorney to try and get this issue resolved. We have thousands of dollars worth of damage in our home because of their faulty roof. At one point Ed Gilroy Jr. and Ed Gilroy Sr. came to our home and inspected the roof. They admitted it was a flashing problem and they would be back to fix it. That was about six weeks ago. They never fixed the problem and they do not return our phone calls. Do not use this company!
