I had a contactor purchase laminate flooring from Lumber Liquidators for installation in my kitchen. In between the time of purchase and the time of installation, he passed away. I finally found another person to do the work (a flooring professional) and he informed me that this flooring was totally inappropriate for a kitchen (it would scratch too easily - not a high traffic area floor). I went to return the unopened boxes of flooring to LL, asking for store credit to purchase real hardwood (at twice the price I paid for the laminate) and they refused to help me out because the flooring had been purchased over 30 days before. The guy didn't care about my situation, or about making a sale for a considerable amount of money more. So I'm stuck with flooring I can't use because of their unbending "corporate" policy. Home Depot or Lowes would never treat customers this way. The lousiest customer service I've ever experienced. Would never do business with these people again.
