Great. The price was reasonable and the skylight had a 10 year warranty. Better than anything else I found. Also, you only deal with Sun-Up for warranty and service. Not the manufacturer.

Would highly recommend to anyone replacing a skylight. Had a Pella skylight installed in 1985. Pella no longer makes or services due to poor design. The only company that would replace old unit was Sun-Up. Went above and beyond to custom design a skylight that allowed me to maintain the interior design of prior skylight. Very quick, clean and efficient. An absolute pleasure to work with.

Our 20 year old home has two skylights that were installed when the home was built. My wife and I had been researching having the skylights replaced with new ones that would open to allow airflow in the second floor. I found SunUp Construction, Inc. and decided to drive to their office in Wexford for more information. When I arrived I met with Craig (the owner) who took the time to explain what was involved in the replacements. After deciding to have Craig and his team (Paul/Adam/Laurie) replace the old skylights, Covid-19 came on the scene and we had to wait until June for the new skylights. The wait was definitely worth it. Craig and his crew got to our home on time, went right to work and within four hours we had two new skylights that open with solar power and have sun blocking shades. The end product was exactly what we wanted. We have been keeping the skylights open at night allowing cool air to enter the house. What a difference. Craig and his crew are professional and great to work with. I would heartily recommend them

Nothing about the project could have gone any better! They promptly came out for a consultation to go over options and see what we had in mind. We made our choices and they scheduled a day to come out and do the installation. On installation day they arrived promptly at 8 AM as they said they would and went right to work. Everything was wrapped up by 4 that afternoon. Everyone we dealt with was super friendly, helpful, and professional. They did a fantastic job and we couldn't be happier with our new skylights. They also made sure we knew about the 30% tax credit on solar-powered home improvements and gave us all the info we need to take care of that when we do taxes next year. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend their services. Thanks, Sun-Up!

Very well - prompt service, good cleanup

Great experience with Sun-Up construction. Had an old leaking sky-light and two others showing their age so I needed to replace. Starting the process, Sun-Up is probably the most responsive contractor we've ever worked with - they were out to measure the day after we called. We had many questions and everything was always answered when I emailed within a day. Cost you ask? Competitive with the 3 contractors we talked to (and with much better response/service). Replacement day - these guys are machines. They arrived when they said they would and had the new skylights in within a few hours. They put down drop clothes to make sure to keep our carpet clean which was probably unnecessary but shows their professionalism. Our leaking skylight had some plywood that needed to be replaced which they did within the contracted price. The skylights - they look great and function great. We included blinds in ours and have them set on an automatic schedule which save us cooling the house. Top-of-the-line skylights from Velux so can't really go wrong here. Bottom Line: All contractors should follow this model. Good price, great service, great product. I couldn't recommend this company enough. But, honestly, see for yourself. Get a few quotes and you'll understand what I'm saying.

The houses in my sub-division are located far back from the front window, so, I'd always keep a light on in that area, even during the day. A neighbor told me about these small skylights installed by Sun Up Construction. I quickly decided to get one & made arrangements for a site visit. One morning on a rainy day they called to ask if it was a good time to come by. Apparantly they do the site visits on days they can't do installations, which makes perfect sense. The carpenter, Paul, came by & went into the attic. He determined that my attic was fine to accomodate the unit, so I made a preliminary plan to get one through the scheduler in their office. Unfortunately, my house experienced a roof leak prior to the installation date & I had to put the sky light on-hold until the roof was taken care of (which was somewhat out of my control as my sub-division has one roofer for the whole community). It took a few months as the roofer has other clients, but they eventually repaired my roof & I called for the sky light. They were able to get me on the schedule in about 10 days, which was great. Paul & his co-installer, Craig, showed-up during the estimated time frame and got to work. With the two of them - - one inside in the kitchen & the other up in the attic/roof, they had it installed in about 90 minutes, which I found to be remarkably quick. Any dirt or debris that might have been made, I didn't see. My unit included a small solar panel inside that captures some of the day's sunlight. At night, it can act a nightlight for the kitchen; providing enough light to see a bit so there's no need for an extra nightlight. They also told me that by including this small solar panel, the entire job qualifies for a Federal Income Tax energy credit, so that's a plus. (NOTE: I didn't get any other quotes on this project, so I don't know how the price compares with any other companies who might install the same product or something similar).

Sun Up Construction was wonderful. They gave me a timely proposal, answered all my questions, and installed the skylights. They are professional, kept the house and yard clean and the skylights and blinds are wonderful. I would highly recommend them.

Sun-up responded immediately to our request for a quote. They were very professional and explained all the details of the project. They even explained how to get a tax credit for installing a shade with the skylight. They were not pushy at all. They scheduled the work in advance, showed up on time, completed the work when they said they would, and cleaned up after themselves. The cost was exactly what they said it would be. We had a test of their work that very night as a big storm came through. Sure enough the skylight was weather tight, just as they said it would be. We couldn't be happier.

They provided a thorough explanation of the products, procedure, and warranty when providing the estimate. They finished within the estimated time and left me with a great looking skylight. They showed up on time, made no mess and did a wonderful job and the skylights are beautiful. From their first visit to review the job to when they returned only 2 weeks later to install I felt confident the job was going to be done right. Best company I've ever dealt with by far.

Craig was very easy to work with and his responsiveness was off the charts. The worker who came for the consultation was a pleasure. He was honest, punctual and knowledgeable. We scheduled the work and the team was again punctual, friendly and efficient. They did great work and took time to show me how everything worked. I know that they have multiple appointments in a day but at no time did I feel like they rushed. They took their time to make sure the job was done right but since they have the amount of experience they do, they were able to complete the job in only a couple of hours. Craig even took the time to explain how to redeem the tax credit for the work he had done and has pre-printed forms that you can keep for reference. The service was not cheap, but it was fair and reasonable given my research. After all, though, you get what you pay for. These guys have an A rating on Angie's list and the Super Service Award (which is why I chose them) and they did not disappoint.

Wish they did more than just skylights. They are the nicest contractors I've ever met. The whole team, Craig, Paul & Laurie are all very responsive and efficient and they did a wonderful job in replacing our old skylights. Their cost was very reasonable compared to one other bid I received. Overall, I am very happy with the new skylights with solar shades and the service I received. Do not hesitate to call them if you need skylights.

We had a very positive experience with Sun-Up Construction. The installers were professional, helpful and really pleasant to work with. We love both the skylight in a living/dining area's cathedral ceiling and a sun tunnel in the bathroom we had installed, and would highly recommend Sun-Up to anyone thinking of having similar work done. We would definitely give them an "A" rating. We had two major rain storms since they were installed and there has been no leakage at all!

Totally professional (and personable) team. Craig was immediately responsive to my email when researching the sun tunnel idea to bring natural light into my dark kitchen and family room. Laurie really worked around my complex schedule and fit me into the main schedule within a week to get Paul out to talk specifics, educate me more, and take measurements. Paul never pressured me into anything. He listened to my concerns and provided his professional opinion..that's it. A few days later, Laurie again fit me into their busy schedule and they showed up early and we all re-talked and thought through the plan one more time, changing it from the original. They took their time, worked through the brief rain storm while on the roof, and was out of the house in less than 3 hours! Oh, after a full clean up of the roof and Paul on his hands and knees wiping the dust that didn't hit his painting sheet!! It is so apparent that they take pride in their work as they both stood back to admire the radiant natural light that was cascading through my kitchen and family room. I wish they did other work because they would be my "go to" guys for everything!!

It was excellent!! Great workers! If Paul and Craig worked for any other businesses, we'd want to hire that company to do any work. They are hard workers, timely, polite and discuss ways of having the skylights done without acting like salesmen!! Cost was better than one other company that wanted almost twice as much as Sun-Up Construction wanted! Making referrals to as many people as possible.

Wonderful. Paul responded quickly for a quote and was very professional and personable. We had one skylight which was leaking. They got us worked into their schedule to complete the job before the bad weather set in. Craig and Paul did the work and it went very smoothly. They worked clean and were very professional. I would not hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them.
