Paul came out to our home to give us a quote on some electrical work we needed done for our master bedroom/bathroom renovation. When he came out, everything was down the the studs, no surprises to be had since he could see everything he needed to work on. He gave us a quote and said the work would take him 2 days total and told us â the only thing about the quote that can change is the cost of laborâ . Well, he finished 95% of the work in 4 hours. When he left, he sent us an invoice and we questioned him saying since it only took you 4 hours shouldnâ t we pay you less? He said no, he quotes by the job. Iâ ve heard of people quoting by the jobs before and that would have been fine with us except he was off on the time estimated by 1.5 days. If we had a more accurate time assessment I would have NEVER been comfortable with the cost of labor for a project that took him 4 hours to complete and would have searched for a different person to hire. Additionally, he didnâ t do anything to code. Didnâ t staple the electrical wires to the studs and did not place a GFCI outlet in the bathroom between the toilet and vanity. He did come out and change the outlet because we asked him but when we asked him about stapling the wires, he said â Iâ ll swing by again when Iâ m in the areaâ . Not surprising at all, we didnâ t hear from him again and needed to put up drywall so couldnâ t keep waiting on him and just stapled the wires ourselves. Extremely disappointing. Totally felt like we got robbed by a shady deal. Would not recommend him to anyone.

Paul installed an exterior pole lamp, exterior walkway lighting and a few exterior electrical outlets. He converted our "ideas" into a workable plan, provided suggestions and recommendations, accommodated our revisions, and completed the work on schedule. Throughout the project Paul clearly communicated the work to be done, cost and timing ... all in a professional, yet personable manner. Overall, a job well done!

Paul is skilled, timely, responsive, and thoughtful. He also had good design/creative ideas for the project when decisions had to be made to address unforeseen issues that came up. He did a complete removal and replacement of our entryway door with sidelights and transom in less than three days.
