For therapeutic reasons if nothing else, let me explain why you might want to avoid Pine Automotive (PA) in Wexford, Pennsylvania. I went to PA because Volvo estimated repair of the A/C at ~$3,000; PA?s quote was ~$2,100. Ten minutes after driving off the PA lot in August 2015, the repaired A/C started blowing hot air. The next day, PA also started blowing hot air, initially not acknowledging the problem and finally conceding that an additional, ?unforeseeable? repair was required that would cost an extra $1,200. (They claimed that everything was working fine when I drove off, so something else broke after that.) After this repair I had unlimited cold air, but the console buttons controlling the vents weren?t working quite right. This was annoying but minor, and I probably would?ve let it go except that in November I noticed that the console buttons for the seat warmers were missing. During the A/C repair, PA had thrown out the original console for reasons I still don?t understand and replaced it with the wrong console. For the next four months (when I really needed the seat warmer) I had to keep reminding PA to find the right console and replace it. Only in March 2016 did PA finally install the right console, still having the nerve to charge me another $80 for the labor. Driving home, I noticed that this console has worn, somewhat old-fashioned buttons that clearly came from a junked Volvo probably 20 years older than my car. In summary, the entire repair cost me about $500 more than Volvo?s original estimate, involved at least six (often overnight) visits to PA, and took seven months.

The last repairs included changing front and back rotors with brake pads, a gasket, and a few bolts along with inspection. On time and very reasonable.

I had a hard time getting them on the phone, but finally got the appointment set up. I feel like their customer service is well below par and never treated me like a valued customer. I tried to talk about what was needed, but they were always too busy or in a hurry, so I never felt like their were receptive. I am extremely detailed in my needs for my car and even type up a detailed message on what needs to be done when I drop the car off.
I had basic things done to the car, but the cost was expensive. Inspection, tire install, and battery install for $261, was outrageous. I showed up to get the car and he started to argue with me saying that the rims were bent. I have owned the car from the day one and the rims have never had one bend. He said this, because he never spin balanced the tires, which I realized driving the car home. The wobble was almost exactly the same as prior to the install. He kept arguing with me prior to taking the car about the rims and said that two of them were bent, which is not true. He was arrogant and rude.
I would never use them again, because quite simply there was nothing from beginning to end that showed me he did a quality job or provided a good service. I felt disappointed from beginning to end and the cost was ridiculous. I never got charged that much to install tires, over 150, absurd. I had someone install a battery in my other car days earlier and got to watch, took him 10 minutes.
I will never use him again all around poor experience.

They are very professional and honest. They are proficient as well. When they schedule you they are on time with their appointments. It is a small business but they do all kinds of work on automobiles. It is a PA inspection station as well.
