We spent 3 months planning the bathroom project in person, through email and on the phone. Once Leggett received our deposit and signed contract, the project went down hill. We notified them on several occasions we needed non-smokers at the home due to health issues and that the project had to be completed by the June 5th. They started mid May and the project is still not complete (Mid Aug.). Most weeks were a 4 day work week. They sent mainly smokers to my home. They did not build the wall, recess the medicine cabinets, or build the seat or niches in the shower.  Even though these things were discussed in person, on the phone, in email and in front of other people.  The owner of Leggett, said since they are not word for word in the contract they are not obligated to do it and he hopes I have learned my lesson. Everyone they sent to our home said what a bad job the previous worker did and that it was not a quality job. The walls were badly sanded and grout mixture was left on the floor and walls. It took Leggett three attempts to clean the walls and floors.  There are still lines drawn on some tiles. The bathroom door has paint removed on one side and wood missing from the other. They underestimated the cost of the electrical, plumbing and glass so there were additional fees.  The faucets are low flow when turned one direction.   The holes for the faucets on the countertop at the sink were drilled wrong.  I was told it would take 2-3 weeks to get the new countertop normally but redos go quicker. Two and a half weeks later when Leggett would not tell me when it would be coming in I called Cambria directly and they said it was never ordered until the day before and it was not ordered as a redo or a rush job. Leggett now wants me to pay additional money for the second countertop that they did incorrectly. The owner will not take my phone calls. He will not answer my emails and has refused a 3 way conference call with Cambria.

Leggett does not seem to keep employees long.  Our project manager either quit or was fired.  They fired the tile person and the one non-smoker on the project quit with no notice.

If you decide to use the company make sure everything is in writing down to the smallest detail.  Get a detailed price list for each item.  We had two items that were on the contract that they did not do and when we asked for a refund, they asked if we had a detailed price list with each individual cost, when I said no, I was told, I don't think we were charging you for that to begin with.  I think the designer was just going to do that on their own time.  We were told by our designer to buy outright the tile, lighting, tub, etc. If you do this, the owner will be very upset that he did not get his markup and he will make sure the project does not go well.  He cancelled our deliveries and other items.  We were told the project would take 2-3 weeks and we are at week 11 and still not done.  Leggett requires you to pay in full before the job is over.  They asked for the final payment at 5 weeks saying the job was almost complete.  I guess it is complete for them since I have hardly seen them in the last 6 weeks.

Needed a lot of assistance with layout options, material selection, getting me to think outside the box, etc. and Beth was excellent.  Great advice, knowledgeable of all the various products and suppliers, thorough, professional, and easy to work with. Trouble began with using Leggett's contractor, which I thought would be easier but it was a nightmare. His estimate did not include drywall and painting so those were extras, quality of several things was below my expectations and needed to be re-done, tried to short-cut most every thing, and did not act like a GC providing overall project supervision. The contractor's plumber was sub-standard, needed to open a hole in the bedroom wall to re-pipe the shower mixing valve after the tile was installed. Subcontractors (tile, stone, glass) provided by Leggett were otherwise excellent in quality and ease to deal with. Would use Leggett again, Beth especially, but definitely not their contractor. Bathroom turned out great but construction was a way too bumpy ride.

We used Leggett Kitchens for our kitchen and dining room remodel. Beth did a wonderful job and went above and beyond for us. She was very professional, went with us to look at tile, flooring, countertops, etc. A very positive experience and we have a lovely kitchen to show for us. We'd definitely use this company again, especially if Beth was our designer.

The cabinet repair was handled very professionally.

However, the setting up of this repair proved to be one of the most awful customer service experience?s I have ever had. Nancy (kitchen designer) was my initial point of contact. She explained that she designed our kitchen (our home was new construction but not built or designed by us). She also was quick to note that warranty on labor/install was only good for a year. I responded with ?regardless? and was about to proceed to tell her that I had a cabinet leaning away from the wall and 2 small children?something had to be done. She cut me off a ?regardless? and responded with ?SIMMER DOWN, SIMMER DOWN, SIMMER DOWN?.  I responded with silence and then stated that I didn?t think ?simmer down? is an appropriate response to a customer. In return, I received silence. If it wasn?t for the actions of her coworker Beth (paying a personal visit to our home to examine the cabinets that very evening) or the owner who then called to set up install, apologized and sent a cabinet repairman within 48 hours, our business would have lost.

We worked Nancy Sudsina who was terrific.  On top of everything.  We had a little issue with cabinets and owner of cabinet company came to house to deal with issue.  All great to work with, professional, honest and high quality.

Subcontractor did a great job. Leggett carpenter did sloppy job on support beam for hanging china closet. New countertops are shorter and beam needed built up. He used shims that look uneven. My disappointment is the job their carpenter did for my daughter. Garage and cabinet were reinstalled in a sloppy manner and he damaged the cabinet. He should have had another worker there because cabinet was bulky, too heavy for one person. My designer was great to me but she doesn't work there any longer.

Beth was fabulous to work with offering her suggestions and she also helped me find the exact island I was looking for.  Leggett has the most beautiful glazed cabinets I have seen and all the products they carry are first class.  The delivery was on time and my kitchen is stunning!

I used them last November. They were very friendly, very professional and the girl would help me and she was good. Everything they did was fine and I was very pleased with their work.

The problems began almost immediately. They had told us that we were going to have a two piece countertop but it arrived in three pieces. The company that cuts their stone countertops had intimated that they had broken the piece while cutting it so they had brought it in three pieces. They also installed it while I wasn?t there. We then had to get back to Leggett to inform them that it came in three pieces. It probably took about three months before they finally replaced it with a two piece countertop. We also had trouble with the original designer. She had sent her husband out to do the work and it just became a mess. He was the installer. He had a lot of attitude. He installed the cabinets incorretly and we had them change that. They brought someone else to finish the job and it was just sloppy. The owner had to then get involved. He was very professional and did his best to resolve the issues. We settled for a lot of things that we weren?t satisfied with. It was the second time we had used them and the first kitchen was excellent - same designer, different installers. We wouldn?t use them again.

Rose, the saleswoman we worked with was great. Their price was much lower than we anticipated. It?s a very good company.
