Do to a combination of poor quality materials and improper installation many of the windows had rotted. Some windows were so badly rotted that the sashes were falling off the windows and the glass panes were falling out. I had to replace many of the windows and the house wasn't even 20 years old! The house settled so badly that the framing of one of the second story windows fractured. Another window was pulled 1/2 inch out from the wall as a result of settling. Or both windows were installed like this - ether way just as bad. The floors were out of level - in some rooms as much as 1 1/2 inches! It's unbelievable that Heurich would have allowed his crews to get away with this. The driveway settled 4 inches where it abutted the garage. There was improper wiring in the house. The master bathroom, kid?s bathroom and the garage were run off one circuit. Ron's crews did not vent the bathroom fans outside of the house. Instead they threw bat insulation over the vents trapping warm moist air within the building structure. The purchase was a major disappointment.
I would never consider buying a Heurich built home again.
