They came within about 2 hours of being called. They were on the way back to their office from a previous job, and were prepared to start work immediately. They provided an estimate, I accepted, and they started. They dug up the connection between the failed 60-year-old buried steel gas line and the curb tap, and dug from the meter on the side of the house down to the incoming line. They planned to run the incoming pipe directly from the meter into the garage instead of using the old buried pipe that continued to the back of the house from the meter. Next morning they arrived when they said they would, replaced bad pipe with plastic, drilled a hole in the wall and ran the new pipe inside, attached mountings for the meter, and pressure tested the inside and outside lines. Found and fixed a couple of small leaks inside and replaced an old copper flex line to the kitchen range with a new stainless one. When the gas company tech came later that day to complete the connection and install a new meter, he asked who our plumber was. He said their work was excellent - made his job much easier than many jobs he's assigned to work on. He said their work clearly reflected an intention to "do it right."
Description of Work: Replaced gas line from curb tap to house, and re-plumbed gas line from meter to inside connection.
