Installers sent by Toth Carpet stole invaluable jewelry from our home while installing carpeting. We were in the house at the time, but were blocked from going to the 2nd floor bedroom where the jewelry was stored because they were working on stairs and landing. There was also evidence that they were also going though the bathroom cupboard and medicine chest because new band-aids were
floating in the toilet and after they left, the toilet was totally clogged and overflowed when flushed. Among the items stolen were an opal ring surrounded by small diamonds that was originally owned by my wife's grandmother and mother. She inherited the ring after they passed. This ring was appraised at a minimum of $6,000 plus the sentimental value was irreplaceable. Also taken were gold earrings and necklaces. They knew what they were doing because they only took the jewelry that had value. The owner of Toth Carpet came to the house to view the crime scene but refused any compensation for the loss, and informed me that his insurance would not cover it either. The Police came and filed a case, but apparently they need more evidence for a conviction. I filed the loss through my home insurance, but the coverage was only $1,500. Therefore, that $800 carpet cost us ~ $8,500 plus a lot grief and many tears. My wife wants to have the carpet replaced because every time she looks at it, she is reminded of her grandmother's ring.

They were very customer service oriented. The service person was great. Also, the installers were wonderful, quick and very professional. I had no complaints. I could of went with another company but I chose to go with Toth because they were honest and I enjoyed working with them.

As with any time we have purchased flooring from them, the experience was positive from start to finish. When Kathy comes to measure, you know she knows what she's doing just by how she handles her tape measure! We were allowed to bring home many samples to make our decision and did not feel rushed or pressured to do so. Our situation was somewhat unusual, since we were combining carpeting and laminate in a rather unorthodox way. They were onboard with our vision and worked hard to make sure we were satisfied with the result.

The overall experience was excellent. I will use them again in the future.

Contacted the co. by phone. Sales person, Kathy Pishinsky, returned my call promptly. Agreed to meet at the house for measurement and bid. Brought samples for me to select from, after asking pertinent questions about my requirements and taste. I also had Molyneaux bid. Cost within a few dollars difference, but the sales rep for Toth so pleasant and obliging, went with them. Required 50% deposit, with remainder on day of completion. (Accepted check or credit card. Possibly cash, too, but I didn't ask!) Seemed reasonable to me. I was only available 2 days out of the workweek and she scheduled installation for my convenience. Installers (who both worked directly for Toth) arrived promptly, and were very pleasant, too. Work was completed quickly, within hours, same day. I should probably mention: the house was unfurnished, a time-saver, of course. I was completely satisfied.
