They installed a new roof, gutters, and downspouts for my house in late summer 2024. The quality was poor -- they had to return to fix their gutters as they were leaking. Now, the flashing is coming off and they are refusing to repair their sloppy work. The work did not even last one year, which is unacceptable. I'm concerned that as time goes by it will get even worse. They do not respond and do not seem to care. I cannot recommend this company.

At first, it went well. Roofing and siding were done as promised. They showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves. Then it went downhill. A worker nicked one of my new front shutters. We were told that it would be replaced. Never was. The piping that led from the bathroom vent to the outside laid on the attic floor, got water in it and froze during the winter. My husband removed 2 buckets-full of water from it and fixed the problem himself. The ridge vent was on the original contract. When it wasn't installed, we were told we would have to pay an additional $50 for it because it wasn't planned. We paid. It has never been installed and we have not received our money back. It will be 2 years since the contract was drawn and the payment made. Have not heard a word from them since July 2016 when we were told that the vent and the new shutter was in.

The process was very smooth beginning to end. I enjoyed working with Eddie, and the team he designated to do the job. Only disappointed a bit in the end when Eddie asked for additional $$ when a bit more work was needed. In my opinion this should have been absorbed into the price agreed on. Referred Atwood Builders to a friend of our family - Eddie was punctual and attentive - bid the job and completed the work. They too are pleased with the company. Would recommend and rehire again. Thank you.

It took a while because of the rain. They couldn't come out. I love the color of my shingles. Like a goldish tan. Its not the usual shingles. The guys who did the wood and all were really nice. I had four groups of people. The only thing I didn't like was the subcontractors, but my son said that was the norm. They come out and said they were going to use subcontractors. They didn't speak English. The first two started to clean off the roof were Mexicans. The second group were middle Europe. I really couldn't talk to them. The one was really friendly, but I couldn't talk to him. I guess that is the going price for roof.  One of the guys is going to finish painting my porch. Which is nice. I am waiting for that to be done. I think it took a good two weeks. I am an old lady. It was kind of high, but I needed to get it done. Corning shingles. They are the high grade ones. I checked out the quality of the stuff, and it looked pretty good. I will say that. I really couldn't talk to them. That was the only thing I didn't care for. I told them what I wanted, and they did it. They did underneath the porch, there is a black stripping they could have painted over. That is the only negative thing I could have said. They did practically everything I wanted done. They were always here except the days it rain. They always showed up. I can't get on the roof, but it seems well. They seemed very professional. If he lowered his prices, I would use him again. I wasn't happy with the price. Other than that, pretty good.

We had Atwood install our new roof and could not be more pleased!  They did a terrific job and the new roof looks wonderful! They removed our old roof, installed a new one, and removed and replaced old wood that needed to be replaced.  They were very reasonable in price and we are so pleased with the job they did.  
George and his crew did an amazing job - and they are real workers - they were here for 2 days and never seemed to take a break or stop working -- they were very polite and professional.  If not for the noise of the equipment, we would not have known anyone was here - they were so quiet.
We would definitely recommend this company and these workers after having them do our roof.  You could not ask for a more professional crew to work on your home.  Ed Stein told us we would be pleased with their work and he was right.  They were the best workers we have had to any job in our home and we definitely would use them again.

Started when they said they would. Finished half day early. Cleaned up very well Excellent quality workmanship.

It went just Great. Three men (Dave) arrived with all the supplies on the first day . Starting on the problem  single story roof, all shingle and  old damaged wood removed and new wood platform base was applied. I was informed why the problem existed and how he was going to fix it and did.  The shingles from back  two story roof was also removed  the first day.  All the roof vents, fan housing,  flashing around the house and chimney was replaced with new.  The gutters were cleaned, reinforced and sealed.  (Two small bay windows also received new matching covers)   By 5:00 pm the second day, the roof was complete, as well as one of the best  clean ups I experienced.  This  was not  easy task after two intense laborious days on the roof, since most of the debris was in the back and had to be wheel barrowed to front for the dumpster.  Ed Stein  had given me a longer estimated time for completion, but Dave/crew gave "work ethics" a new meaning, along with being very respectful and considerate. This was the 3rd roof on single story addition and second roof on the two story main frame in 32 years.  The  Work and the Job Performed did not go unnoticed by several neighbors who commented.   When they left,  Dave stated "you won't be needing us again" - probably the reason why labor is guaranteed for ten years!

Because proposed drawings were not provided to either the owners or contract workers, the deck construction proceeded, which was not to owners' expectations or in compliance with building code.   These errors had to be corrected, resulting in more time, labor and material cost.
The homeowner did provide Ed Stein with seven photos of desired finished deck, roof, and guttter system (from a relative's home) as a guide of what we envisioned our deck would be.  Plus, we provided to Mr. Stein a typed list of all our requirements in this contract.

They did a great job. It looks really nice. They are very reasonably priced. They come and do the entire job and make sure it is done before they move on. I would have them again if we had another job.

Arrived on time, worked efficiently & cleaned up as job processed has a full crew.

The experience was great. They did a fantastic job. Their work was great and they cleaned up afterwards. They did drag a little getting started. I would use them again.

They put our roof on about 10 years ago as well, so we knew this company.  They did a great job on the roof then, so we were glad to have again now.  From the time we signed the contract to the time they finished wasn't long, about a month.  Before they started everyday, they would check with us to make sure we were all on the same page with what was getting done that day.  They were here until they got it done.  They did a great job.
