t was quoted a price over the phone and made my appointment for the next week when it was convenient for me.  I dropped off the vehicle and the transmission fluid the night before, to allow the transmission to cool before the mechanic worked on it. (I provided the fluid, since I passed a Toyota dealer on the way to Army's, and the vehicle needed special Toyota fluid. Army's personnel were amenable to my doing this).  I was contacted by phone before noon by the provider that the vehicle work was completed.
The work was done for the price quoted.  I was so impressed that I took one of my other vehicles to Army's Transmissions for its transmission fluid replacement in September.

Periodically I would encounter problems with the check transmission light coming on in my car, usually after climbing a steep hill.  i took the car to another transmission shop where they replaced the fluid and filter, but the problem persisted.  I then took the car to the dealership where I bought it and was told the transmission needed to be replaced at a very high cost.  Found Army's through Angie's List and a friend's recommendation.  Took the car there - received a much lower estimate on a rebuilt replacement transmission and a reasonable time estimate for repairs.
After the work was done, the mechanic explained what was wrong in the original transmission and why it was beyond repair.  The replacement transmission has performed without a problem of any kind since.  The work was done promptly and professionally.  I would not hesitate to take another car to Army's and highly recommend them.

Army's Transmissions did a good job and had a fair price. My wife knew them from her employment. They would stop in so she was aware of them. I needed a transmission fixed and they fixed it at a fast and decent price and I'm all good with that.

Army's came recommended from both Angie's list and a friend who is familiar with vehicles.  They lived up to the expectations.  They were able to take in my truck the same day I called.  I called back the next morning, and approved the work.  I never had to do transmission work before so I don't know if the price was good but it certainly was reasonable.  They were excellent and I would use them again and recommend them.

My car's transmission basically blew a gasket or valve on a recent camping trip and began dumping all of its fluid onto the pavement. Going up a hill, I realized this and pulled over, only to see the puddle and line of fluid running back as far as I could see. I eventually had it towed to Army's after a dealership quoted me a minimum of $2000. Army's took about a week, mostly, I understand, because the transmission was completely shot and they had to get a rebuilt one shipped to them. I am very satisfied with their work, the car runs well and there's a 1 year warranty on the transmission.

After having my 20 year old Ford towed to Army's, I was told by Andy, what was going to be done. I met with the mechanic and he removed the transmission, reconditioned it, changed the motor and transmission oil and a few other services that I requested. Upon the recommendation of the manager, the vehicle was then towed to a automotive service for engine work and inspection.
