Our chimney was in bad shape. Several contractors over the years had performed shoddy work installing furnace and stove liners incorrectly, improperly sealing caps and damaging the existing structure. We were experiencing conditioned air loss (both winter and summer) through massive gaps where the caps and flanges should have been sealed and were getting water both in the fireplace and furnace room during bad rain storms from improper chimney cap work.
Jason took a look at the chimney caps and crown and offered several solutions. He provided written (emailed) estimates for different options and spelled out each step. When we had questions about an item it was easy to email back and forth and get answers. Once we settled on what would be done Jason was quick to schedule a day, easily working around my busy and difficult schedule.
During the job I joined Jason on the roof a few times and he politely walked me through the different things he was doing and explained the and quot;whatand quot; and the and quot;whyand quot;. I know from research that the job was done correctly and can finally rest knowing that the chimney is now properly sealed and finished.
One week later Jason called back to check up on his work and make sure we were satisfied, offering to come back and give everything a last look since the masonry was dried now. How many other contractors have done that for you?

Jason was so professional and friendly. He came to the house and went over all the details of our dream kitchen and helped us fit most of it into our budget. I was so thrilled! We got new cabinets, tile floor, new formica countertop (we decided we had better options in it than stone) new faucet and new sink. We re used our appliances (they were new). Everything was beautiful and I could not have been happier. He was clean and efficient. Every detail was covered and we love the kitchen. After that was finished we had him replace our 15 year old furnace. Just as happy with that! We have a service contract with him that will keep this new one up and running for a long time. Money well spent and I highly recommend Housefitters for any project in your home.
