Other family members have used Dunleavy Roofing and recommended them. They were very good and understood the issues and were quick to complete the repairs.

I originally contacted five different businesses to look at my job which was to repair or replace a leaking built in gutter. I received quotations from three and two of those were to do relining of the existing gutter, which would not be a permanent fix and would not fix all the issues. A third, a very experienced and reputable roofer, admitted the job was beyond them and suggested I look at firms specializing in Historical Restoration. A fouth business gave a quotation which seemed reasonable, but I thought expensive. Since this was somewhat of a unique job I needed at least another proposal for doing the job right. I contacted the local Historical Society and someone there recommended Wm M. Dunleavy and Co, as he had done some work for them. The proposal by William Dunleavy was detailed and professional. He provided options as requested. His price quotation was very reasonable and the best I had received. Interestingly, his proposal for replacing with copper was the best price and best material (due to large sizes of copper sheet and hence less labor to install). I paid 50% down, which is slightly unusual for me, but I knew he had to purchase the materials in advance, and I knew he was reputable. The work was done two months later, a few weeks after his first estimated time.Dave Dunleavy and Tony completed the work in about 2 and 1/2 days. They were very professional and experienced and worked well as a team. It was a good experience and I am very pleased with the job. Although we've only had a couple heavy rainstorms since, all seems dry. The repositioning of a larger (6" half round) gutter on the other roof line has solved the problem there also.

Excellent quality work. The workers were very courteous and competent. The owner, William Dunleavy, was very good when he provided the estimate. When he gave me the final quote, I felt confident in that it would be excellent quality at a good price. Overall, I am very satisfied with the finished product. I have recommended him to my neighbor who also has the same need as I had.

He's very reputable and does an excellent job. He's professional and rectifies problems quickly. For example, the skylights we originally had came with crank handles, but he fixed this and put in a hook for using a poll to open them. The one thing we don't like is that he is so busy. You may get him to come in for an estimate, but he takes forever to start your project. He's the premier provider in the area.

They are very professional and neat. They are very concerned about our property and that they keep it clean. Everyone has been very polite. As far as I can see their craftsmanship looks good. We did get other estimates and their price seems fair. So far price and quality are both A's.
