"I am the owner odf Ted's Pools and was the person who first went out to visit Member pool. She was looking for a renovation of her pool and what I found was a pool that needed new coping, tile and pool finish. In additional, there was a structural crack in the shallow end steps, that we find in a lot of pools that are poorly built. This is because the pool builder uses the left over or rebound materials (gunite or shockcrete) to build the steps instead of new material. it was evident that a previous patch had been done to the steps and I explained to her that no mater what you did the crack would reappear in the future. She asked me to still try to cover up the patch even though it might reapear in the future. We proceeded to grind and expoxy a patch before doing the other parts of the renovation. I explained to her that it would be a rough patch until we can back to prep her pool for the final pool finish. Member became very abusive and difficult customer. I determined at that time that I did not want to continue the work on her pool because of the hostile environment she created for everyone coming out to her home. I told her that I would not continue the work, that I would not charge her for the work that we had done, and that she should seek out another pool contractor. She again reacted in a abusive manner, threatening to bad mouth Teds Pools. Teds Pools has been in the pool business for over 36 years and prides itself for superior work and ongoing great relations and support with its customers."
