The did a fantastic job. Very reliable and friendly. Felt comfortable with them in my home. Very courteous. They cleaned up after themselves very well.

Workmen (2) were on time, went to work, took away old blinds upon request to do so. After 3 1/2 hours of steady work they cleaned up. Instructed me on what to use to clean shutters with and what not to use.

My wife and I bought an 1888 home in a historic district and did extensive renovations to the interior. But it took us about one year to make a decision on window treatments. We finally asked a neighbor two doors down, who lives in a gorgeous 1920s arts and crafts stone German colonial revival home, if we could take a look at her interior shutters since we always admired how classy they look from the outside. Inside they were beautiful as well, and she highly recommended the company that installed them: ShutterTech. The shutters were vinyl in a white color, and even though they were installed about five years ago, they were absolutely pristine, even in her bathroom. Our neighbor used to be highly involved in the world of architecture, so we trusted her taste and called Shutter Tech (800-272-9934). Don Pruitt came out to do the estimate. Super nice guy and obviously very experienced and honest. Even though the window frames in our house are highly irregular (off as much as one inch between diagonals), he didn't blink an eye, saying it would be no problem for them. We have an unusual small window on our third floor that we didn't know what to do with, and he gave us excellent advice about what configuration of shutter would look best there. Their price for vinyl shutters came in better than the other three bids we collected from other companies (including Home Depot), so we opted for ShutterTech based on the excellent job they did in our neighbor's house. Berenice McGuire in the office couldn't have been nicer, and Rick who came out to do the installation was a total gentleman. Since the installation, my wife and I have been shocked at how good they look. You can no longer tell that the windows are completely irregular and the shutters have completely transformed the interior of the rooms. Since they are painted white, you would never know that they are not wood and we are very pleased knowing that the vinyl will hold up much better than wood over time. (So much so, ShutterTech offers a lifetime warranty on them.) We noticed one small tweak that had to be made, and Don immediately came back and took care of this beautifully. Overall, we are very, very pleased with this company. The shutters were a big investment for us considering all the other renovations we just completed, but they are completely worth it.
