Founded in 1993, Pine Street Carpenters, Inc., is an award-winning design-build remodeling firm located in West Chester, PA. We provide design and remodeling services throughout the Philadelphia region, including the Delaware and New Jersey shore points. Pine Street Carpenters is also home to The Kitchen Studio at Pine Street, our kitchen and bath cabinetry showroom located at 901 S. Bolmar St. in West Chester. Our product partners include Plain & Fancy Cabinetry, Wood-Mode Cabinetry and Dura Supreme Cabinetry.

They initially were very responsive. Friendly office staff, scheduled my in home consultation quickly. They came to the house to talk about what we wanted to do and took some measurements. Stated they could have a rough written estimate via email in a couple of days but I never heard from them again.
Very disappointing as we were ready to start the project immediately. I feel that if they thought our kitchen remodel wasn't a good fit for their company, they should be upfront and honest in saying so and not leave clients hanging. Reading previous reviews, it looks like they have done this before with other potential clients. It's a shame because we are about to spend a lot of money on a kitchen!!

Worked with Pine Street on a kitchen remodel project.  Initial interactions were great.  After the money for the design changed hands, however, everything changed.  Communication came to a halt and deadlines were missed by weeks.  A design and estimate that started in November was not completed until March, and this was likely only because we resorted to repeated emails asking why when we were told something would take 2 weeks it would take 4.  This estimate came in at nearly double what the rough estimate was from several contractors when we were looking initially, so we had the project rebid.  After informing Pine Street of this decision, we received a length communication as to why they were so overpriced.  Choosing not to respond because we had moved on, we were called unprofessional.  By the company that ignored repeated emails while under contract and missed deadlines by weeks.  Funny concept of professionalism.

The scope of the project changed throughout the process, with additional design changes made after our initial design. This provided a longer turnaround time for the final design than both we and the homeowner would have liked. As the homeowner indicated, we were not contracted do the kitchen remodel itself."

They never followed up and ignored our request for a quote. It was very unfortunate, we were so excited to give this local business our money.
