Rick's business sense epitomizes the ultimate in honesty and quality. I called Rick after finding his name and high ratings on Angie's List.  I explained that the car's headlight and blinker was not working.  Even though he was not working that day he told me to bring the car in and he would take a look at it.  When I met him, I was not disappointed. When he looked at my car he noticed damage to the hood that I didn't realize was there. He was very detailed oriented and knew what needed to be done to get my car in a condition where it was safe to drive. He spent 2 hours getting my car in a safe drivable state at no charge and then gave me a very reasonable estimate to replace the headlight and fix the bumper.  When my car was finally completed, it looked awesome. Rick went above and beyond to fix our car. The level of service that we received was incredible and not close to anything that we had received in the past from any other auto body shop.  You can tell from the start and throughout the whole process that Rick truely cares about the people he serves! Overall I would highly recommend Pennington's Auto Body for all your auto body work. 

From start to finish, the process was excellent. Rick exemplifies honesty and quality in his business. I brought my car to him because of good work he had done for my brother and my fiancée. When I met him, I was not disappointed. When he reviewed my car the first time he noticed damage that I didn't even know was there. He has an incredible eye for detail and immediately knew what needed to be done to get my car back in top shape. In regards to the new door, he worked with the insurance company to ensure that they paid the full amount necessary to not only replace the door, but to fix the body around it, so it would blend in with the rest of the car. For the hail damage, he recommended another service provider who used his shop. I will refrain from discussing their work in this review, other than to say that Rick's recommendation was spot on.

Throughout the whole process, he had to work with 2 appraisers and 2 insurance companies and he handled it with the utmost skill. He kept in constant contact with these companies and with me to coordinate the whole process.

When my car was finally completed, it looked like brand new (it's 5 years old, actually). Rick not only repaired the damage that he needed to repair, but he went above and beyond to fix minor scratches in other places (for no extra charge). This speaks to the quality and level of service that you can expect. Overall I would highly recommend Pennington's Auto Body for all your auto body work, as he has the skill of a craftsman and the professionalism of a businessman.

Rick took care to explain the issues with my door.  He gave me  a reasonable estimate.  He worked this little job into his shop schedule even though he was full up.   Then when he spent more time on the job than he figured he honored his estimate.  And, he called promptly when the work was finished.  Very professional and and trustworthy in my opinion. 

They repaired a fender of my Volvo S60.  They were very flexible in using used parts to keep the cost down.

2 Weeks ago, I brought him the same BMW which had been abused by a wrecker that had come to pull us out of the snow.  Even though the car was clearly totaled, Rick spend HOURS of his time going over every detail to provide us with a 4 page estimate for the repairs.  All this while knowing no one was going to be repairing this car.  WHAT A GUY.  He also gave me valuable insight into the nature of the insurance business.  
Rick will always be the one we turn to for body work because of his integrity and the professionalism of his business.

Rick found the best price for me along with getting top quality work.  Rick's transparency and honesty are first rate.  I wouldn't think of going elsewhere.

I originally got a quote from Pennington's last fall when I first purchased my car.  I went there due to reviews I read here.  I was not disappointed, his professionalism impressed me from the moment I met him.  It was clear that he takes pride in his work and cares about his customers.  Even though it was by no means a sure thing that I'd ever have the work done, Rick spent a significant amount of time with me going over the car.  He even removed an unwanted bumper sticker free of charge.
At the time I simply didn't have the money to go forward with the repairs.  I didn't call him until the following June (7+ months later). He still remembered me.  I met with him again to go over the job again and schedule.  When he called to tell me the work was completed he informed me that it required more labor than he originally quoted, but he stuck to his estimate. He didn't raise the price a cent. In my experience that's unheard of.
When I picked the car up I was in for some pleasant surprises.  First thing I noticed is I couldn't even tell the rocker panel had ever been damaged.  The creases and dents in the fender were also gone. They both looked like they just came from the factory.  Not only were the surfaces completely smooth, the paint job was flawless and matched perfectly.  On top of that, he the interior was also cleaned up (the interior wasn't involved in the job at all), and he polished my headlights which were so cloudy you could barely see through them.  He also touched up minor nicks and rust spots all over the car.
Even though I had read the reviews first, the whole experience was beyond expectations.  I'll never go anywhere else.

My car was hit by a deer at 630am on a Friday morning.   I called Rick Pennington at 7AM and had an appointment for an estimate of my damage at 10am.  Rick spend extensive time with me going over the car and getting me my estimate that day.  By lunchtime that day, I had things set up with the insurance company.  The following week, Rick met with me and my insurance adjuster. I had a check in my hand from my insurance company by that coming Friday. 
My car looked showroom new when I picked it up.  The paint matched to perfection and no detail was ignored.  The interior was as beautiful as the exterior.  I would recomment Pennington Auto Body very highly. 

Pennington is a very professional and dedicated company.  The quality of the work was exceptional.  The price was very, very good.  I would recommend Pennington to everybody.

First of all, Rick is a perfectionist. And an honest man.  He showed me the pain staking process which they use to match paint on my 2011 Accord.  It is impressive.  Also, he found an error in the quote he gave me - TO MY ADVANTAGE. 
I had to wait to get in but it was worth it.  I will definitely go back to Rick again.

On Saturday, 3/30/13, a neighbor backed into my car when backing out of the garage.   My car's front fender was smashed and hanging off and the head light shattered.  I had just bought a new car and I was going to give my old Camry to my sister who lives in North Carolina.  She and her friend had already bought their non-refundable, no-changes-allowed airfare to fly here on Friday, 4/5/12 to get the Camry and drive it back to North Carolina.   She had to be back in NC in time to go to work Sunday morning.
 What was I going to do?  I was frantic!  People were telling me to go this place or that place.  I finally remembered that I joined  Angie's List and that is where I found Pennington's Auto Body.  I called them and was surprised when Rick Pennington answered the phone because they were closed and I was expecting to leave a message on the answering machine.  I explained everything to him and he managed to talk me down from the ledge.   The car was towed to his business that day.   Monday morning, Rick  inspected the damage and called me to explain what was needed.   He was kind enough to order the parts in advance of the insurance appraiser because of the urgency.  The insurance appraiser got there on Tuesday and Rick had the car repaired by 3 PM on Friday!  
Rick Pennington did a beautiful job.  He even cared enough to fix some other unsightly damage to the car.  
Rick Pennington is the utmost professional and he was kind, caring and sincere.  I can't praise Rick highly enough!

This is the third time I have used Rick over the years, and each and everytime he has gone out of his way to make sure the job is done correctly!  I wouldn't go any where else.  Thanks to Rick and his crew for another job well done!

Love, love, love Rick Pennington!  He was so wonderful to work with and his people did such an excellent job on the repair you would never guess how much work had been done.  He really went to bat for me with my insurance company and took care of all the negotiations.  For a few items, such as the radiator, although the insurance company wanted to cheap out, Rick got a unit from his trusted supplier and "ate" the difference.  He even told me about an Angie's List coupon for $100 that I wasn't aware of!  And here's the kicker: after my car had been pulled apart, they discovered damage done by squirrels who had nested under my hood two years previously.  He only charged me for the parts to fix the damage, and not the labor - can you believe that?  He also gave me a lead on a good local car rental company.  Although I hope I never need his services again, if I do, I won't be going anywhere else.  Superior work and an honest owner - how often do you find that these days?

I had to wait my turn for service as Pennington's is a very busy (and not large) shop but seems to have a large and very satisfied client base. My job took about a week including their dealing with insurance company. Working with Rick Pennington was always friendly, cordial and helpful. He's a straight talker who followed through on this word.

The paint job was excellent.  The color was difficult to match but Rick made it happen.
I would recommend Pennington's Auto Body to anyone who needs auto body/paint work.

The job went very well!  They performed a quality job for a very reasonable price.  Rick drove over an hour to come pick me up because I didn't have a ride to his shop to pick up my car when it was finished.

Before finding Pennington on Angie's List, we had used another auto body shop to find and fix this terrible leak in our Jeep which we use as a towed vehicle for our RV.  We paid the other shop to fix the leak.  They had the car for over two weeks to check their work - and declared the leak sealed.  A few days after we had the car back, a downpour occurred and we found the leak was even worse than when we took it to the shop!  That shop is fired!  We turned to Angie's List and found Pennington.  The reviews told of his honesty and professionalism as well as his determination to find and fix otherwise "unsolvable" problems.  I called and spoke with Rick directly, telling him we were preparing to depart the area soon and needed the leak fixed on a pretty short time table.  He told me that he was really full at the moment, but that I should call at the end of the week.- the day after Thanksgiving - and he might be able to take in the Jeep.  We did as he asked and he went to work on the sun-roof.  Pennington's ultimately had to lower the entire headliner, inspect the gears and motors of the sunroof, apply lubricant to the appropriate places, and reinstalled the headliner.  The interior of the car looked like new when they finished.  And the leak is fixed.  I am reporting this from Long Beach, CA where we spend our winters from Pennsylvania.  The trip here took us through some torrential storms that raised our concerns bout our "toad."   But when we inspected the interior, it was bone dry. What we experienced with Pennington was something I believe is in decline in America, a commitment to excellence.  Rick was determined to solve our problem.  He easily could have told us the problem was fixed - we were leaving soon after that and wouldn't know the real results until well on our way out of state - this is what the other shop did, I believe - but he didn't.  Ours was not a major problem, but he treated it as though it were.  We are glad to have used his services.

Rick was very honest in his appraisal and willing to do the work on fairly short notice. He warned about concerns and went out of his way to complete the job effectively while meeting his price quotation. He brought the car to our home once the work was completed. We were impressed by his professionalism and plan to use him again for any auto body work we need.

He provided excellent customer service.  He is meticulous and very knowledgable.

I brought my Santa Fe to Pennington's auto body on the advice of an insurance company appraiser whom I know personally.
I could tell I made the right choice after taking my vehicle to Rick and talking with him about the accident.
I knew he would look after my car like it was his own and that he would personally oversee the repairs..
He told me what to expect regarding the time to repair and called on a regular basis to update me on the status.
During the repair I stopped ny and he was willing to take the time to explain what they were doing and why.
Near the end of the repair Rick went out of his way to get my vehicle completed in time for our family vacation trip.
The repair is flawless and the paint is a perfect match on a very unusual color.
This was a major rear end hit but you would never know.
You rarely find this kind of service in the autobody repair business these days.
I have no doubt that Rick and his staff treat every customer with the same professionalism and detail as he did for me.
