BEWARE!!! NO KIDDING!!! They don't treat emergency as emergency. They are not professional, they take advantage of people who are in need and desperate situation, they will charge $500 for $50 work.

Charged $970 to install two thermostats. The thermostats themselves cost $50 each. Use these guys at your own risk. They take advantage of people who are in desperate circumstances. BEWARE.

Gas Furnace / Forced Air Heating System Repair Service
The technician elected not to replace the filter because it seemed clean. But then he told me that it was concave and should be replaced with a fiberglass unit. He happened to have one on the truck, too. How lucky. When I declined the fiberglass filter, he wanted to sell me a service plan. The clean filter has been in there for six months. I replaced it myself the following day. I have been a homeowner for 35 years. I have had service plans with three separate vendors for the last two houses. They always replaced the filter. When I made the appointment, I inquired about another small job for the technician. The supervisor with whom I spoke told me to speak to the technician about it for pricing and that it would be fine. The technician obviously wanted nothing to do with it, especially after I declined his fiberglass filter and service plan. Service plans are high-profit products, which is fine, but they have to be earned first. Sorry, MoreVent.

They left the area dirty,yes my wife signed or checked off that it was ok,but she did not inspect the area around the work they performed. The original tech (Joe) did a very thorough work and answered my questions.

Heat Pump Repair or Service
Beware, My heat pump stopped working and I called them. They charged me $500 to do a diagnostic and put coolant when they should not have. Then they tried to sell me a new system for $13,000 or change a coil for $6,000. Apparently, other reviews have experienced the same. I called someone else who did the repair for $900. After I complained to Morevent and asked for my money back they assured me that they were right. The sale pitch was very pushy and as soon as I accused them of upselling they became very aggressive and defensive. Stay away from them at all costs. I had 2 other companies come and none told us to replace the coil or buy a new system. BTW my heat pump is only 14 months old.

MoreVent installs the Daikin system. The system efficiency levels and features make it a better installed value than some of competitor models with lower review ranking or fewer features. That said, MoreVent is not the cheapest company. We went with them for a couple of reasons. Of the highest ranked companies that we were looking at (installation reputation and service was our focus here) MoreVent was at or near the top. One other company beat them in this category, but their prices were also a little higher and installing a system that we felt might be inferior to Daikin. The sales and installation team were great. The guys who installed were also willing to take my old water heater and dispose of it, even though I replaced it myself a few days before. They respected the home with coverings, and even had to work around our driveway being resurfaced the same day (not by design). After installation, there was a small leak on the surface of the unit, that they came back and fixed the same day (with all plumbing connections, they missed gluing one of the condenser pvc drain elbows...a 1 minute fix). Daikin is a brand that has been around for a while, though their residential side has recently purchased Goodman and Amana. They apparently have their own exclusive compressor (where many other brands use a Copeland compressor). This is not necessarily a bad thing, if the compressors excel in performance. However, they're still new enough that there have not been many (if any) complaints of failure...time will tell (according to the experts). If I had to do it over again, I would probably have purchased and installed the UV light myself to save installation cost. That said, I'm not sure I would have gotten the same quality equipment for very much less than it cost in the package together, and, a benefit of MoreVent installing it is that it becomes part of the service and warranty of the system. Overall, we did not have any negative experiences throughout the process with MoreVent. The equipment is less than a month old; so I can't say much there except it was installed well, and they paid attention to the details.

The gentleman that first came to my home Chris Thompson was very patient, took the time to see if needed new system or if repair would do. Looked over history of paperwork of all that had been done on system before making recommendation. Did not come in just trying to make a sale quickly. No high pressure tactics.
