Dangerous and reckless! Hertzog was the service assigned to inspect my home for sale. I live in a beautiful home in Chester County, PA. I have a wife, a daughter and 2 small dogs. After leaving a mess in my house, they left AN EXPOSED KNIFE BLADE on the shelf (4 ft high) of our studio/work out space. Our daughter is ALWAYS in that room. Our puppies are always in that room. We use that room frequently. The blade was there all weekend, because we clearly were in and out due to selling our home. That makes the chances of an event greater! The blade was from a utility knife. Do yourself a favor and call ANY home inspector and ask them if they carry a UTILITY KNIFE to home inspections. See what they say. With ALL of the CREDIBLE home inspectors available, don't even take a chance on them! I never write reviews like this, but this is how accidents happen.

Carl spent a few hours going through the house and inspected every nook and cranny. He took his time and made sure all systems were working properly from turning on every tap and watching for any plumbing problems to checking out every available electrical outlet and switch and the electrical box. He spent a considerable amount of time in the basement reviewing the structure and foundation and was very thorough.

Very thorough job. Talked through what repairs are needed and how to prioritize. Gave options on windows and siding. Also gave a list of cost estimators for various materials.

Carl is extremely thorough and helpful. The report he provides is invaluable, including defects that should be corrected with estimated costs, along with other suggestions on general home maintenance going forward. I would not buy another home without having him inspect it first!

THE INSPECTOR WAS THOROUGH AND TIMELY. HE POINTED OUT AREAS REQUIRING ATTENTION AND ALTERNATIVES TO CORRECTION. HE WAS VERY REALISTIC IN RANKING & RATING HIS FINDINGS.
