Another Restoration Company (Niki Francis) gave Haines Furniture Restoration Company a Coffee / Cocktail Table in order to repair a small manufacture's defect on the table top. The men did a dreadful job repairing the table. I reached out to an antique restoration professional (best of philly) I had used in the past. Once he reviewed the photos I emailed to him this is what he replied: "The spots are from silicone contamination. Either in the finish or on the surface. The scratches are from improper sanding of the wood or between coats of the finish. The problem is that after the last strip and refinish the veneer may be too thin to repeat the process again. I have to decline your project ..... " The table can no longer be repaired. I have taken the matter up with my credit card company.

My husband was in the process of making a jewelry box for our adult daughter from maple he had reclaimed from a doll display hutch which he had made for her as a child. The box was assembled, but he became too ill to continue the project. I attempted to complete the job by staining it. Unfortunately, I used a product which sealed the wood after the first application and the result was not at all satisfactory. Having promised my husband before his death that the project would be completed, I checked Angie's list and found a local company. Haines had the box for several months, but I can't fault the company as I had assured Mike Haines that I was not in any hurry and knew they were in the middle of a big job restoring a church. I can only say that the finished product was well worth waiting for. It now looks like a piece of fine furniture and is absolutely beautiful! Mike installed all of the hardware, and I need only line the drawers with felt. I know my daughter will be very happy and, even more important, I know my husband would have been, too.

I have used them several times, and have been completely satisfied. They are friendly, and accommodating. They take a great deal of pride in their work, and they pick up and deliver. I have recommended them several times.
