We hired Elias to finish our basement in summer 2020. It was an extensive project and one where we wanted not only an experienced company, but also someone who could provide input to help us with some of the design ideas. I have nothing but the strongest of compliments for Elias and his dedicated work. He was personally involved in almost all aspects and was able to guide us thru every design element. The work area was spotless at the end of every workday and all work was performed on time. The finished product exceeded our expectations. The ~2,000 sq. ft. space has a dedicated exercise room, home theatre designed in an open space with half wall seating per our request, wine room, full bath with large shower, and a large custom bar with wet sink/built in ice maker/kegerator/separate fridge, and brick accent wall with floating wood shelves. He was also able to incorporate some rustic wooden beams into the design near the bar which matched perfectly with our rustic finish to the area. It was these types of finishing details, evident in all his work, that solidified for us that we made the right choice for our finished basement. Elias and Daniel just completed an extensive basement finishing project for us. They took a cold, concrete shell and turned it into a warm and inviting new living space for our family. We added an egress window, media room, custom bar, guest bedroom, full bath and kids playroom with built in reading nook. In addition, Elias remodeled a powder room and mudroom on our first floor. The quality of work is really top notch, but beyond that, he makes the whole experience very pleasant. His contracts and pricing are very clear and easy to follow, with no surprises. Like most larger projects, we made a few changes along the way, and Elias was always very understanding and accommodating. Every change order is diligently documented and reviewed and it’s clear he really strives for his customers to be happy at the end of the job. When he did use one of his subcontractors for drywall, plumbing, or electric, he was still always on site and made sure they did quality work. Best of all, him and Daniel were great with our two young kids and very careful with mask wearing, social distancing and closing off their workspace, which were all important factors for us when deciding to do an extensive remodel in the middle of a pandemic. I highly recommend Elias Construction and in fact have already inquired with him about another remodel project for next year!

Elias Construction did a fantastic job finishing our basement. From initial contact all the way through completion of the project, Elias was a pleasure to work with. He was here every day to ensure the work was done as we had discussed. . Our finished basement looks amazing. It has a full bath, a TV room, a bar that seats 8 people and recessed lighting throughout. The bathroom has a tile floor and wet bed shower. The TV room has a 75” TV with surround sound speakers along with additional in-ceiling speakers throughout all areas of the basement. In the bar, he installed high end cabinetry with in-cabinet and under cabinet lighting, a large stone backsplash and a TV mounted in the center. He also installed a granite bar top and undercounter appliances including a kegerator, beverage fridge, dishwasher and microwave. We were very impressed with the quality of the work and professionalism. We highly recommend him!

Highly recommend and exceeded my expectations. Elias recently finished our basement, which included installing a bathroom, lots of custom built-in shelving in a large family room, and an exercise room. Now we are getting lots of compliments from friends and family as the basement has become popular space for entertaining guests. The reason we picked Elias was because (a) he came across as very accommodating and focused on customer satisfaction (other contractors considered were more rigid) and (b) his ability to create high-quality custom shelving (as seen in lots of nice pics on his Facebook page). Elias worked with me and my wife closely throughout the project to collect our ideas (pics from Pinterest, Houzz, etc.), give accurate cost estimates for each "custom" request, and ended up adding a lot of extra enhancements throughout the project per our request (large mirror wall in gym, built-in shelves + entertainment console, stair lights, rustic wood planks behind large wall-mount tv, etc.) - every item was completed flawlessly and exceeded our expectations. Overall, the project went very smoothly, and we felt really comfortable with Elias and his small crew coming in and out of the house each day. The project was a lengthy one and took about as long as expected for a basement. I am extremely happy with the end result and will definitely reach out to Elias for future home improvement projects.

This large basement project far exceeded expectations for quality of design, construction, attention to detail, communication, permitting and code compliance. What set Elias Construction apart from other contractors we met with was outstanding responsiveness, line item detail, and clear experience with projects of this type and scope in the area. Elias Construction’s strong knowledge of building codes, budgets, materials and suppliers was comforting and helped guide the significant details required to finalize a detailed proposal and schedule, and his advice on finish and trim was very helpful in tying together our vision for the space. The scope increased as the project progressed, and Elias was diligent to document everything with detailed written change orders for us to agree to and sign before proceeding. The process and cost for commissioning and approving all work was always clear, and always completed to exacting detail. His workers and sub-contractors were professional and neat, which was important to our family’s schedules. The basement is magnificent, functions beautifully and is used every day. It always receives compliments for design, fit and finish, and we have already contacted Elias for two additional projects at our home and recommended him to friends and neighbors. We had Elias Construction renovate our basement into a large family room area with double window and walk out doorway, Full bathroom with tile walls and tile floor, custom looking vanity with widespread faucet, and Kohler glass shower door. All township inspections were passed, the quality of work is impeccable and it was nice to be able to turn over the keys to our home knowing we could trust the group that was working here. We would hire again and we would highly recommend!

Elias and his team took our cement floor unfinished basement to a fully finished space with details that match the rest of our house and met all of our (changing) expectations. He was great with communication. We worked with him via email, phone, and text. He handled all of the communication and permitting with the township, which has been a big hassle for us in the past when we've done projects on our own. We bought some materials for the project from Lowe's and Home Depot, but Elias gave us some good advice when we were planning what to buy. It was great to leverage his experience with purchases that we've never made before (floor tile, cabinets, etc). When there were decisions to make about details of the work (how to put molding around a tricky corner or how to paint an area that could match either the ceiling or the cabinets) he was willing to give advice when we asked but I knew he would complete the task any way we chose. At the end of each day the work space was always cleaned up and during the day his team took every precaution to keep the rest of the house clean too. Most of the time they went in and out of the basement egress. He has a network of subcontractors that he brought to the job that were courteous and hard working. Overall, we are very pleased with the final product and consider the space to be a relaxing escape from our busy lives. He and his crew were a pleasure to get to know, and I felt comfortable leaving them to work in my home when we weren't there. I suspect my husband is kind of going to miss having them around. We are thrilled with the work and would definitely hire him again.

From the very beginning Elias was prompt, communicative and clearly an expert at his craft. We completely trusted Elias and his crew to work in our home while we were not here. Elias Zouras and his project manager Alex were beyond wonderful to work with and they exceeded our expectations. When we decided it was finally time to do a master suite in our basement we diligently met with five different contractors. Elias easily won the job. He is an expert at construction and he is also extremely approachable and honest which is so important when someone is working in your home. He gave us a detailed blueprint and plan that was easy to follow and very thorough. They were so clean and neat which I did not think was possible on a construction site! Every time we wanted to change or add something to the project Elias would listen and he had no issue with changing the plan along the way. That was something that was very appreciated because knowing exactly what you want before a project begins is not easy! We decided to add a built-in entertainment center which Elias built himself it is stunning. The molding and wainscoting that we added were done to perfection. I have showed off my basement to friends, family and neighbors, they are all amazed at how beautiful the basement is. Elias also gave us advice and fixed some issues we were having in other areas of our home such as our dryer ventilation and some water leak issues. I don’t think there is a construction issue he can’t handle. Hands down we will use Elias Construction in the future.

We were extremely happy with the service and finished basement. Elias and his team were extremely professional and respectful while in our home. We had additional features added such as wainscoting, wet bar and finished bathroom. Elias gave us ideas and recommends during the whole process. We were very happy with the results. Elias has a small team that was always very courteous and made sure to clean up downstairs at the end of every day. Communication was good and he made sure we were ok with the progress on nearly a daily basis. He also made sure to focus on things that would help us down the road - like taking pictures of all wiring before putting drywall across walls/ceilings, etc. He was flexible with our changes and finished the job as expected. It was a big project and we were happy with the results. Will hire him again for other jobs when the time comes.

We hired Elias Construction based on a glowing recommendation from a friend who had hired them to finished their basement. We spoke to several contractors and Elias Construction came back with the best plan at a reasonable price. They offered great suggestions to make our basement not look like a basic finished basement such as using drywall for the ceilings, using doors rather than access panels for the main water access, wood spindles for the staircase, and building a custom window seat over the sump pump. He also built a custom bookcase with cabinets and a pantry with shelving. They showed up every day on time and were friendly, respectful and always cleaned up at the end of the day. I highly recommend them to anyone needing work done in their home! 

Elias' price was fair (not the highest estimate we received) and he was recommended by several people we knew. The quality of his and his team's work was great. We also trusted them with access to our home when we weren't there, which was never an issue. As we added things to the project and customized things beyond the initial contract, Elias was incredibly fair with price adjustments. We got a very customized space for a fair price. The project took longer than expected, but given the quality and trust I have in the work, that's OK.

The whole project went amazingly well. Elias and his crew have high standards for themselves and you can tell this on their attention to detail. Elias was always willing to collaborate on design ideas, did not hesitate to give his own opinion when asked which I really really appreciated and welcomed many changes throughout the process. Elias was also always incredibly professional. He returned calls and texts promptly and always let you know when they were coming and going. My friends are amazed at how great our basement looks. It is truly an extension of the rest of the house and does not have a feel of the basement. I would highly recommend Elias Construction and am already working with him on our next project!

Elias was great to work with.  After our initial discussion, we were able to obtain a CAD drawing to see what the finished basement would look like.  Throughout the process, Elias was very easy to work with and and responded quickly including by text messages.  The job site was kept clean at the end of each day which was great since we have kids.  I would definitely recommend Elias for any future projects.
