This company has excellent communication skills. The three tile installers were master craftsmen. They offered design changes that enhanced both the integrity and esthetics of our pool. They were kind, expedient, diligent, detail oriented and masterful. Our pool tile and coping have never looked this beautiful. It was a pleasure working with everyone at David E Callahan Pool Plastering. We can highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

We contracted with Callahan Pool because they came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. I felt very comfortable with George and Anna right out of the gate. George diagnosed our pool issue where others failed. His team did a great job, and he and Anna have been very helpful and responsive in answering questions after completion. I would recommend Callahan Pool and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

Someone came out in 2013 to do an estimate. Seemed honest and the price was on-par with competitors. I was finally ready to do it this year and asked for an updated estimate. Again, price was fair. Maybe 5% cheaper than the one I ended up with. I went with another provider primarily because 2 of the 3 providers (this one included) warned that bond beam damage likely existed and that it could add significantly to the price once they got into the job. The provider I selected (the original builder) said their price included any such damage unless it was severe (it wasn't). Callahan was recommended by my local pool store. I'm just the type that will avoid the possibility of unknowns and extras when I'm not very familiar with a contractor. I'm sure they'd have done a fine job.

Callahan Pools came highly recommended by a client. I interviewed another company as well but was most impressed with the responsiveness and follow up from George. As a realtor for over twenty years I have witnessed numerous pool inspections which frequently require repairs/improvements and as a result am extremely cautious and selective given what I have seen and particularly careful before ever recommending any contractor. George was very helpful and patient. We were supplied with photos and all of our questions and concerns were promptly and clearly addressed. It is now a year later and the pool looks gorgeous.......We actually much prefer it to the original finish!

Hired callahan pool plastering to replaster our pool... It started out good but a few months after the job was complete and paid in full We noticed chipped tile and coping, The plaster started to pit and change color... Callahan plastering ruined our pool We called the office many times but no one would return our calls Finally George stopped by and said "it is what it"is and the waranty does not cover what happens to the color or pitting and said the tiles were already chipped After some research we come to find out that David Callahan had retired and some one else is running the business. Our pool is ruined and we are out $12 thousand dollars

The gentleman who came out was very thorough and professional. He let us know that we did not need to the work done right now and could wait a few years because it would be a large investment.

Everyone was personable and very helpful. Full of helpful information and ideas. Workers didn't waste time and cleaned up after each day's work. An A+ experience.

The work was done very well and I am very happy with the results. The workers were very competent and efficient. I could contact the salesman any time I had any questions or concerns.

All work was done as promised in the estimate. Callahan Pool Plastering was professional and punctual. Detailed instructions for maintaining the new plaster were provided. Additionally, they arranged to have water delivered in order for the plaster to cure properly. The pool looks beautiful. I would high recommend this company.

They had to completely rebuild an Anthony Sylvan pool. They first looked at the job and estimated it. They were a comprehensive firm and they were well-regarded in Valley Forge area. They came with the references. As they got into the project, we found out that the top of the eighteen inches to two feet of the pool was improperly installed originally and they had to re-do that. They told me as to what they would be exactly and recovered. They put that in their original estimate as a cost put forth. They were very thorough and did a very professional job. They came back the following year and repaired some of the corking that had problems. They gave a thorough service.

He was very nice. I was very happy with his quote. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He gave me an idea of what it would cost me to re-plaster the entire pool. He was kind enough to say that I didn't need the work yet. I will use him once the time comes to get the work done.

Update: Aothough my first contact was in 2009, I did call Callahan back last summer to do the work of replastering, and re-tiling my pool. They did a good job, and we are very happy with the work. George was helpful and patient as I went through picking the tile and coping.

The job was beautifully done, on time and professionally. We were told what could and couldn't be accomplished with the work (new plaster won't color match old plaster, brick will not be level with sunken portions of concrete decking) and solutions were offered. Communication with the company for scheduling was well done. The team that drained the pool, demolished and replaced the coping and tile were pleasant, neat and obviously have been doing this for a long time. Messy work (wet-cutting brick coping) was done away from main pool area to minimize dust and clean up. Caulking was done after the job and they even poured concrete-colored sand to better blend with concrete-decking, and explained what to look for in the future for maintenance. We were very satisfied with this company, and will use them when it's time to re-plaster.

Simply amazing. David came out within 3 days of my request, and provided an estimate. Showed us the tile he would use to replace what was damaged. Said they were booked for about 8 weeks. Called when they said they would (their office staff is amazing and sooooo nice Thanks Anna!) and scheduled the work. Called twice to advise they needed to reschedule because of heavy rains, but again so nice and very informative. The crew that came out were great and the work is nearly undetectable. Lucky for us the tile on our 10 year old pool was still in production. David warned us that the new tile might not look faded, but to be honest it is nearly a perfect match. The crew did the demolition and repair in one day, and completely cleaned up the work area removing all debris. They were very nice (our cats agreed). In about a week a second crew came to complete caulking task, again with great results.

That company's truck got stuck in our driveway, and were unable to completely fill our pool, even the next day, when they attempted to return, getting stuck again. When I called Mr. Callahan to get the number of the water delivery co., he yelled at me about how it wasn't his responsibility that the water truck had problems. He was most disrespectful. We had to finish filling the pool with our garden hose, and it was unusable on our son's birthday. Later, we discovered they had accidentally plastered over the drainage hole that goes between our pool and spa! Update-We did not have to hire another company to come in and do work for us. All of the work was completed before they came in to start their job. The water delivery company was also contacted by David Callahan to fill the pool w/ our permission. It is true that we did not contact him about drainage hole because we wanted nothing else to do with the company b/c they were rude.

THEIR WORK WAS PERFORMED EXACTLY AS PROMISED. THEY WERE NEAT, CLEANED UP EVERY DAY AND DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. OUR POOL IS 15 YEARS OLD AND THEY MADE GREAT RECOMMENDATIONS. AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETE THERE WERE A FEW LITTLE THING THAT THEY HAD TO COME BACK FOR AND THEY CAME OUT IMMEDIATELY AND MADE THE ADJUSTMENTS. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO USE THEM AGAIN.
