"we want to thank angie's list for all the good work that they do. unfortunately, after discussing with angie's list that this same person is found on 6 other businesses with the exact same wording in his complaint and explaining that we keep a list of all calls to our business and this person was not on our list, we have concluded that this is a spammer. we wanted have him removed from our reviews and all the other reviews that are listed on angie's list but angie's list has chosen not to. so in answer to this person's comments, for all who are truly interested, we have no record of this person calling our business. we are always happy to return calls and obtain new customers, after all that is how we stay in business. i think you will find that almost all the reviews on angie's list talk about how good our office is in returning calls. so if i were you and reading this person's remarks, i would take them with a grain of salt and see the rest of our reviews and how they compare with this review. thank you david callahan"
Update: Aothough my first contact was in 2009, I did call Callahan back last summer to do the work of replastering, and re-tiling my pool. They did a good job, and we are very happy with the work. George was helpful and patient as I went through picking the tile and coping.
"WE WANT TO THANK THE MEMBER FOR HER WORK. UNFORTUNATELY SHE FORGOT TO MENTION THAT WE HAD TO STOP HER JOB SO SHE COULD HAVE ANOTHER COMPANY INSTALL HER SKIMMERS. BECAUSE OF THAT, WE HAD TO STOP ALL OF OUR WORK UNTIL THEY COMPLETED THEIR JOB. THE OTHER COMPLAINT SHE SEEMED TO HAVE WAS WITH ANOTHER COMPANY WHO DELIVERED WATER. WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SCHEDULES AND PROBLEMS THAT ANOTHER COMPANY MIGHT HAVE WHILE DOING SOMETHING THAT WE DID NOT CONTRACT WITH OUR CUSTOMERS FOR. NEITHER WERE WE PAID ANY MONIES FOR THE WORK THAT CAUSED HER THE PROBLEMS. WHEN THE MEMBER CALLED I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT THE WATER CARRIER WAS NOT PART OF OUR COMPANY BECAUSE SHE WANTED OUR COMPANY TO FIX THE PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY. I THEN TOLD HER THAT SHE WOULD NEED TO CONTACT THE WATER CARRIER AND GAVE HER THE PHONE NUMBER. SOMETIMES INSTEAD OF FILLING A POOL COMPLETELY TO THE TOP WITH A WATER TRUCK INCURRING ADDITIONAL COSTS, CUSTOMERS CHOOSE TO TOP OFF THE POOL WITH A HOSE. WHICH THE MEMBER CHOSE TO DO. OCCASIONALLY THERE MIGHT BE A SMALL PROBLEM WITH OUR WORK. WHAT THE MEMBER DID NOT MENTION IS THAT SHE DID NOT CALL US TO LET US KNOW THAT THE EQUALIZER BETWEEN POOL AND SPA WAS COVERED OVER. MOST NEW POOLS DO NOT HAVE AN EQUALIZER BETWEEN THE POOL AND SPA. WE WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE THAN HAPPY TO FIX THIS MINOR PROBLEM."
