It went well until I learned that the faucet needed to be replaced. The plumber suggested that we go to Weinstein plumbing and pick out a new faucet. The plumber met us there and later charged us an additional fee for helping us shop for a faucet.

They were quick with the overall repair process.  We liked they provided a detailed explanation of what needed to be done and why.

Whole new heat pump/ AC system for home.  Price was competitive, on the low side.  Very helpful during sales process, professional and prompt in installation.   Bryant system seems fine - but experience in winter will tell the tale.  Only glitch was misunderstanding as to cost of running wiring to box vs. having my electrician do it.  Be sure that's clear and you will be happy with Batavio.

We hired Battavio to clean/replace a dryer vent at my daughter's rental property where the tenant reported a burning smell. They sent a bill for $233.75 after the technician spent 3.5 hours doing UNAUTHORIZED work on the dryer when he found that the vent was not clogged and needed no repair. AFTER the work was done the tech called to recommended I call an appliance company because he and quot;doesn't know about dryersand quot; (which we did, turned out the heater was shot). In his notes he documented that he took the dryer apart!!
My daughter has been a landlord for a decade, used tons of different service providers, never encountered an issue like this. When she called to question the bill was told and quot;the owner and the technician stand by their chargesand quot;, even though at the top of the work order was clearly typed, and quot;Burning smell in laundry room. May need dryer vent cleaned or replaced. When check things out call landlord and let her know what is going on.and quot;
Bottom line, extremely overpriced and unethical business practice. DO NOT USE!

Their proposal was at least 40% higher than the one I accepted from another contractor for a similar unit. Nice people to deal with, but I suggest doing your homework and shopping around for the best value

The technician arrived promptly but seemed to be in a very bad mood as he did not have the patience to listen to me describe the problem I was having... I offered him a cup of coffee and asked if there was anything I could do to help and he said the best thing I could do is stay away from him and let him do his job. I was a bit taken aback as I have never had an experience where I was treated this way by any service company before. I wrote it off as him having a bad day and abided by letting him do as he needed without saying anything to him... After about 30 minutes he left saying the issue was resolved after he turned the emergency heat on. The house warmed back up on emergency heat mode but the electric bills were $100s of dollars more when we ran the heater on this mode... When I attempted switch back to normal heat mode I got nothing but cold air and the tempurature in the house dropped rapidly.

I had another technician come out (from another company) since the issue was not resolved by Battavio and I could only warm the house on emergency heat mode (which would have costed me $1000s of dollars more if I had to heat the house the whole winter this way) and this technician resolved the issue saying it was wired incorrectly.

Battavio sent me a bill for $200 which I have not paid since they didn't do anything other than turn on the emergency heat, which I could have done myself, not to mention it already cost me hundreds of dollars more running the emergency heat for a month or two until I could get the actual issue resolved and another $300 for the second technician that ended up repairing the issue.
I spoke with a very nice woman in the Battavio office named Chandni this morning that said she is going to work on the bill issue with the owners today. I will come back with final comments and grades once I hear back from her. Whether or not they decide to continue to try to bill me for this visit will dictate my rating for them. It is completely acceptable (and the right thing to do) to acknowledge that the issue was not resolved and not charge me, it is entirely another if they decide they want to pour salt in the wound and try to bill me on top of all of the trouble this has already caused me.

My pipes froze this past week and I called for help.
He was very clear he was NOT going under the home, “we don’t work on “Trailers”. I wish I counted
how many times he said that. His parting remark “When the water does come back on better look under
there to see if any pipe damage”. I am a 61 year old woman. I await what I am sure will be another huge bill for his
time insulting me. The $300 above is an estimate based on my other bills listed below.

He said “don’t you watch the news, you’re supposed to keep a trickle of water running”. When I did
reach someone who worked on mobile homes, in a HOUSE, you trickle the water, if you do that in a mobile home, the
sewer freezes.
I proudly live in a mobile home in a nice community. I am a professional woman.
When I mentioned they had been here over more than a year several times, He repeated “we don’t work on “Trailers”. I [plumber] didn’t tell them it was a “Trailer”.
He was one of 3 people who responded to my home over the time period listed below.
On a previous visit, when I mentioned I was thinking of having the kitchen redone, he was installing a faucet, which by the way the spray arm leaks, he said we do kitchens, we can install the dishwasher.
Battavio accepted my payment on a contract for service, 2 separate heating people came out for preventative
Maintenance checks. No mention of , 'No Mobile Homes'.
Payments made work done:
10/25/2012 $135.00
11/15/2012 $256.00
11/02/2012 $108.00
08/23/2013 $337.31 Icemaker install
11/01/2013 $336.18 Unclogg Toilet/install Spigot
$ 1172.49
But they don’t work on “Trailers” .

Tim and George made quick work of removing and replacing the basement sewer ejector pump and float switch. Professional and straight forward, they got the work done and I feel really good about their work and the service. Total time from arrival to departure was 2 1/2 hours, to include time to go pick up the new pump and switch after I agreed to the work.

Appreciated the quick response on a Sunday evening. The only one of four plumbers I called that day who could come out. Full repair done the next day at good price....actually lower than I expected. Repair men were on time, very professional, explained everything they had to do and did it well. Very happy with them....they will be my new plumber going forward.

Joe Battavio came out and went over the work with me beforehand. His workers did an excellent job...when they couldn't find a replacement part (the company had gone out of business) they found a part that looked the same.

Have used them many times, the latest being to replace our gas, hot water heater. The price they quoted was very reasonable, they showed-up when they were scheduled, and completed the job within a couple of hours. Their work was clean, neat and a much better installation than the water heater plumbing that they replaced.
We have used them several times for drain cleaning and toilet repairs and in all cases they arrived when they were scheduled and were extremely clean and neat. We never had a callback. Our best experience was when they plumbed our new kitchen addition several years ago. The work was done over a number of days depending on the progress of the other subcontractors we had on the job and their professionalism and quality of work was outstanding. We have had several other contractors in the house who have seen their work and always asked who did the work. They were all impressed - as we were - with the quality, neatness and skill they have. We would recommend them without hesitation.
