"[Member Name Removed], When your husband and I mutually agreed to suspend the last three stumps until after the storm-damaged decking was removed, he offered to pay me $500 for the first three stumps. Even though those three stumps were worth more than the money he offered I was OK with the offer, because the scope of work changed, we hadn't agreed to a price on only those three. I was accomodating and happy to provide a good value because I always want my customers to feel like they are getting good value. It was only after he then asked for a further reduction in price that I lost my cool, which obviously was a mistake and is the reason you wrote this review. SO while I apologized to both you and him that day, I did a good job in a difficult situation, at a very reasonable price. You wouldn't get that job done for $500 elsewhere. And it should be covered by your insurance anyhow. I also offered you good advice at the best way to solve your problem and get the insurance company to pay as they should. You expressed that you both have been frustrated with the insurance company and other contractors. Please don't take it out on me. The bottom line is your husband made a deal and then tried to manipulate me into lowering the price by saying the chips weren't leveled to his satisfaction, which was a rouse. When I politely offered to go back and level the chips, he said no just and just asked for a discount. He knew that $500 was more than fair for that portion of the job, yet he still tried to not pay what he offered, which ironically is what the insurance companies are trying to do to you. I told you what to do to make sure they pay, which will cover your expenses, but you would rather write a bad review than take that advice. That's your karma. Good luck with it."
Easy! Wish they all went this way!
