Perfect job. Had asked that we remove the baseboards and washer/dryer  before he arrived. Very nice work. Was on time and did exactly what he said he would do in the same timeframe.

Perfect. My husband is a general contractor and would never use anyone other than Todd from Norristown Tile and Marble Co. He is dependable, reliable and his work is exquisite. He has done work in our homes and is the go-to subcontractor for my husband's clients' renovations.

This is the second time I employed Todd to do tile work.  Many years ago he installed a marble floor in my foyer and I was very pleased with his work.

Todd is very punctual and excellent at managing his time.  His work ethic is among the very best I have experienced with contractors.  He has many years of experience and it shows in his quality of workmanship and attention to detail.  He works with integrity to make sure the job is done right.  He protects the home by laying down floor covers, cutting the tiles outdoors and cleaning up every day.  His expertise includes carpentry so you won't have to hire a carpenter to install thresholds or to level transitions to stairs that would otherwise be tripping hazards.  He does all this with no upcharge.

Todd's very easy to work with and goes the extra mile to accommodate needs.  For example, the day after the job was done he made a special trip to the house to help me move the washer and dryer back into the laundry room.

Based on quotes I received from other contractors I find Todd to be very fair and reasonable, and especially so given his flexibility and willingness to help with all aspects of the job.

Everything was done on time and on plan.
This is the third time we are using Todd Thorpe, the owner and and quot;Tile Meisterand quot; of Norristown Tile and Marble. More than 10 years ago he was recommended to us by Mohawk Tile, the retailer where we purchased the ceramic tile originally to redo our kitchen floor and foyer. Since then we've used Todd for the of our upstairs bathroom floor and shower walls and just last week we hired him to re-tile our master bathroom shower.
In our minds, one of the most important traits we look for when hiring someone to be working in our home is trust and honesty. Not only do we feel totally comfortable with Todd in our home but on this recent job we had no problem leaving our back door open to allow Todd to begin work his first day even though we would be out of town until that evening.
Todd is not your typical 9 - 5 worker. He shows up each day 7:30 - 8am with a daily work plan in his head. He will work into the evening if he needs to in order to complete that day's plan and to make sure the entire job is finished on time. He begins each day by laying out ground cloths from the front door to all areas of the house where he will be working or carrying materials and each evening everything is totally cleaned up. To keep the dust out, all of his tile cutting was done outside even during one of the rainy days.
He is very fair and reasonable in his pricing, his finished work is excellent and I have already given his name to a neighbor who may be doing some re-tiling next year.

Todd responded for an estimate right away. He was very responsive with design ideas and the estimate. The price was very competitive. Todd is a master craftsman in his field...an artist. The result is outstanding. The prep and the installation were a pleasure to observe. Todd is a professional with outstanding client facing skills...a very nice person to do business with and just to talk too. Todd's company was recommended by Mohawk Tile and Marble. We now are fortunate to have found another top level company to go back to any time we have tile needs. We will recommend Norristown Tile to anyone.

Working with Todd was a wonderful experience, and I would gladly work with him again and recommend him to friends. He's a very conscientious person who does what's necessary to do a good job and have a happy customer--even adding small cosmetic fixes that weren't in the original estimate without mention or an upcharge. He is extremely prompt, delivered his estimate when he said he would, and responded quickly to both voicemails and e-mails that I left for him. He covered every inch of his path in my home with drop cloths and cleaned up thoroughly each day when he was done. His price was very fair, and probably a deal for me given what good work he did. You won't be disappointed.

A few years ago Todd Thorpe of Norristown Tile and Marble installed tile and under tile heating in a large den floor. He also leveled the floor which was quite a task. He was highly recommended by a respected tile distributor. He did EXCELLENT WORK. We recently had some problems with tile installed by other contractors and we called Mr. Thorpe to help identify what the difficulty was and to offer a plan for fixing the issues (lose and cracking tiles and marble). He explained to us what was contributing to both tile and marble problems and made recommendations for remediation. He worked well with the carpenter who was providing additional support in finishing our kitchen. He was METICULOUS, ORGANIZED, HONEST, AND CLEAN. He was ALWAYS ON TIME and came on the days that he said he would be there. As a result of his fine work in fixing our kitchen floor, we asked him to fix bathroom tile and marble that had been installed a decade ago by others, but had cracked. We also had him install tile half way up our two car garage newly built wall. He has completed 4 JOBS IN TOTAL for us and was CONSISTENTLY SOLID in all of his work. He was REASONABLY PRICED as well. The price reflected above was what we paid him to redo our kitchen and bathroom floor as well as installing a half wall in our two car garage. It is our understanding that Mr. Thorp has been doing this most of his adult life, learning from his family who has been in the business for 80 years. We would definitely use him again and would recommend him to others.
