He was very nice.  They laid the sidewalk and I was taking care of my ill father.  Before I could get a receipt, they were gone.  I have the cancelled check.  They didn't get a permit and it wasn't done up to code.  I asked while they were doing it, 'why there weren't any lines?'  He said there would be lines, then they were gone.  He said I could use any type of salt on it, and I did and now it is cracking.  Now, I don't have the money to replace it.  Now, I can't get hold of them.  Even if I hired a lawyer, they can't find him to sue him.

He ended up coming over a few days later and fixed what he said he would. Easy as that - kind, courteous, professional, trustworthy - need I say more? I like to watch a handyman work in my home and ask questions, just to learn about things. He didn't mind at all, and welcomed my interest. He was even fast and clean!

Well after sandy took half my roof I was searching for some one to come out and put up a brand new roof quickly. I called up a few different companies but they all were to busy to come out. Then I looked online for a few more and I saw Main Line Home Improvements. I called them to see if they do roofs and they said they do all home contracting needs, and I asked if some one can look at my roof and possibly repair it. They set up and emergency estimate for me and was out to my home in less then and hour. The Estimator looked at my roof and said there would be no way to simply repair it, the whole roof needed to be redone for safety reasons and suggested that i stay some where else for the time being. The price was a bit much but the damage to my roof was excessive. He told me he could have a team of guys come through that day to remove tree limbs and put temp patches and tarps to cover the holes in the roof to stop leaking. I was thrilled that he could have people out so soon to do that for me. The next week the roofers had to remove my whole roof and parts of the framing and roofs supports soon after the new roof went up. The following summer I called them again to do a back patio in flagstone. The roof cost me 50k and the patio cost 6k.

Well I received a discounted post card in the mail about masonry and gave The Main Line Home Improvements company a call after looking them up online and was impressed with the work that was on the site. I sent a request right there on their site to have an estimate. I got a call about 30 mins or so later to confirm the appointment and that they could be out to my house the day after (which was great). The estimator John was very prompt and even had pictures of past work the company has done in the past; some of which I had seen on the web site. I told him what I wanted for my walkway, a natural flag stone walk way from my back patio to my pool gate. When we walked into the back so that he could see what I meant and measured where the walkway would be, he noticed the ruined wall near my pool and asked if that was something I would be interested in getting done. I said I wasn't to sure if I wanted a new one but he turned around and said that I didn't need new stone, just needed the old ones power washed and put back up. I asked what the price would be for the walk way and for the wall and he said he could do both projects in one day for $1,500 with the 15% discount. I was so surprised at the price because I had several other contractors come out that had given me way higher prices. I agreed to the price and the work started the next day around 9:30 in the morning. The masons were very polite and clean and finished around 1 that afternoon. I fell in love with the work they did for me so I called John and asked if he could do something with my back gate (I hated that thing) and he said he could take a look and see what he could do. Again the price shocked me at $4,000 and I knew Main Line Home Improvements was going to do a beautiful job for me.
