Lynam Electric Appliance Service

Scott came to my sisters house to diagnose and repair a washer that was trickling cold water. He told her that the machine was not getting water and the problem was the valve and plumbing feeding the hoses. Call a plumber. I went there an had a look thinking that that was unusual to be blocked with public water and pressure. I disconnected the hoses from the washer and put them into the tub and turned the water back on. The wasn't a flow problem. It was the cold water solenoid on the machine that quit working. It is an electronically controlled valve. Kaput. I ordered one and replaced very easily. I called Scott and thought I'd tell him what the problem was. I wasn't angry, just gave him a call. I wasn't expecting him to raise his voice in defense of his misdiagnosis and what he charged. He told me she was lucky that I hadn't charged full price. lol. I said she was lucky that she didn't waste more money having a plumber tell her that there wasn't a water supply problem. I really wasn't expecting him to get loud and defensive. I thought he might be humble, admit a mistake and possibly offer a refund. But was told that he did her a favor only charging her $89.00.

Scott did a great job! Came on time, called on his way, quickly diagnosed the problem with my dryer, fixed it fast while also allowing me to pester him with questions about what he was doing and why, and gave me a lower than expected bill. At my request, he also ordered replacements for some worn parts and came back next week to replace them also, but reassembled the dryer in between so we could use it, and did not charge for the 2nd house call. Even refused the $40 tip I offered, since he's the owner of the one-man company. Very professional! I've also used Scott for stove and refrigerator repair. He never disappoints. I'd recommend him to anyone. --Fred

Scott showed up promptly, disassembled the dishwasher, and diagnosed the problem (a failed pump). Unfortunately, the part was not available locally, but he found it out state and placed the order the same day he visited us. He returned the same day the pump was delivered, installed it, and tested it. His service fee was very reasonable, and he did not charge us for the second visit. He is highly competent, and I would strongly recommend him to anyone needing appliance service.

Great! Scott came and diagnosed both problems then came again with the parts to do the repairs. He the best service person I have had in a long line of bad experiences. I have had him before for the frig with great results too.

We were freaking out at the thought of needing to replace our refrigerator before its time. i called Scott and he was able to come out to evaluate the problem and eventually fix it quick enough to save our food. We got lucky that he happened to be available at the moment we called and that the part was easily replaced but he saved the day for us and we would use him for another job and recommend him for yours.

Lynman Electric returned my voicemail within an hour of calling and Scott came out to look at my refrigerator (which had stopped working) the same morning that I called. Service was pleasant, professional and punctual. It turned our our compressor was broken (so a new fridge was a better option than the hefty cost to replace - Scott himself recommended this route as well). In turn, he even took a percentrage off his service call fee, since he couldn't fix the fridge. I would recommend Lynman Electric 100% and will definitely be calling them the next time I'm in need of an appliance repair.

Scott was very polite, informative, and professional. He explained exactly what he was doing, and even gave me some helpful hints about the running of my refrigerator. I will definitely use his company again.

dishwasher did not work anymore. Repairman came and opened the motherboard and reset. he explained that in future I can try to turn off fuse to see if this helps.

Great. We were out of town when I received a call from our son saying the refrigerator was not cold. I called Lynam Electric
first thing the following AM. They were there within a few hours that morning and the repair was made promptly. I would call
Lynam again as well as make a recommendation for their services.

I had Scott come out to repair the ice maker in our house. He couldn't have been nicer. He was very clear on what was going on, parts is need and cost. That didn't change as so frequently does with other appliance repair. He was punctual and friendly. I highly recommend and will use him every time (if needed!) When he came out a second time he didn't even charge us. When does that ever happen? Totally reasonable cost as well.

Scott Kemper has been our go-to appliance repair guy for more than ten years. He is dependable, honest and knowledgeable. His pricing is very reasonable. I was impressed when we had an issue with our refrigerator and he diagnosed the problem over the phone and told me how to fix it myself. It was a relatively easy problem but a lot of guys will come out, charge 60 bucks for the trip and spend 5 minutes. Easy choice to solve your appliance problems.

My 8 – 9 year old Kenmore refrigerator started to fail to be cold and making an unusual sound (click, surge) noise. I got the name of Lynam Electric from Angie’s List and called them that evening. I received a callback early the next morning and they arranged to have someone come by between 11AM and 1PM. Scott called about 11:30AM and said he was on his way. He arrived around noon and hearing my explanation of the problem took the back portion of the refrigerator off and pulled out what appeared to be a relay or switch. He replaced it with one he carried in his truck and the refrigerator immediately started working as before producing cold air for the fresh food and freezer sections.Scott was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing service on their refrigerator.

Fairly new refrigerator was icing up when the bottom freezer was defrosted and refroze due to blockage of the drains in the back of the freezer. Scott Kemper, owner-technician of the company, was excellent. He performed the work professionally, competently, cheerfully and in a friendly manner, even though it required deconstruction of the freezer and reconstruction. I would definitely use him again.

They were really good. They were recommended by a friend. My microwave oven was broken for 8 months. I had got repair quotes from other companies that were very expensive. I was considering buying a new microwave when I found them. They gave me a very realistic and affordable price quote. I had to have the magnetron replaced which was major. They charged me $60 - $70 to come over and diagnose it. In the morning when they were coming to replace the part I found water on the floor near one of my refrigerators. It was an ice maker problem but they looked at it and fixed it at the same time too; which was just lovely. Another thing that impressed me about them was that the first time they ordered the parts it arrived in a banged up box and looked like it might be damaged and so they returned it. They reordered the parts to make sure that the parts that were ordered were good. They were really conscientious and easy to talk to. They were professional and just great.

I was very pleased with the process from start to finish and would highly recommend this company.

Our refrigerator had been 'leaking' for several weeks when I finally called Lynman. Scott, the technician, was able to come two days after I called (heck - what's another couple of days when you've already waited weeks to call anyone?!?). He was scheduled to come between 1 and 3; he called before coming over; and was on-time. Scott was very friendly, competent and thorough. The problem we were having was a result of the design of the refrigerator. He explained every step that he was doing so that if the problem happens again we can fix it ourselves. He also added a component to hopefully prevent the problem from occuring again. We were very impressed with his knowledge and his willingness to educate us; he was friendly and polite. We will certainly use Lynman again in the future.
