I have been going there for ever. I don't even look at the bill I just pay it. I have been there for ever, they are fantastic. I would use them again. We have been going for years.

I love this place.   I have a new puppy (Cairn Terrier) and lots of questions.   I took my dog there for her 1st exam right after I picked her up from the breeder, then two weeks my puppy was due for another round of booster shots.   Everyone there is so nice.  The vet spent a lot of time with me and explained everything.     The vet created a comprehensive vaccination schedule in writing so I can see what I need and when.  Puppies need a lot of vaccinations their 1st few months, and this place is so reasonably priced, that I'm not breaking the bank trying to get her vaccinated.    They're so nice and always on time.  I'm normally not a stickler about being on time, as late for everything, but my puppy is 10 weeks old and she's not as patient as I am :) It's nice not to have sit there forever.  Highly recommend

Terrific as always! Dr. Brennan is great! It is readily apparent she loves animals. This is my 2nd Boxer she has cared for. Both her and Dr. Walker have been seeing Maddie since she was 8 weeks old. They both make sure to fully explain what's going on, if anything.

I recently moved to the area. My dog was due for his shots, so about two months ago I went to a local vet (not Gateway). We ended up having an absolutely horrible experience. My dog got very sick as a result of these shots and had a lot of complications. After their horrible service, their lack of responsiveness or willingness to even see my dog - I called Gateway Animal hospital in a panic.
I called on a week night after work to request an appointment. The staff at Gateway was very sympathetic and helpful. They fit me in as soon as possible the next day. The staff is really nice and the doctors are very friendly.
I'm one of those annoying small dog owners with no kids - I ask a lot of questions and I'm ridiculously emotional about my dog. The doctors are really nice, very understanding, and don't make me feel like an idiot. :) I was very pleased with the service I encountered and the treatment my dog received.
In addition to that first incident, my dog very recently had some kind of stomach problem. He was vomiting and extremely lethargic. On a Saturday morning, I called around 8:00am and was told to come in and they would find a way to fit me in --- and they definitely did! They were really busy, but yet again the staff was friendly and able to find a room for us to wait in ... and the doctor was along very shortly after.
My dog was treated both times. Service was efficient and friendly. The doctors are informative.
The pricing on services is also extremely reasonable. The price above ($95) was for an emergency office visit, an injection/shot, an injection of fluids, two medications, and three cans of specialized food! I've spent two to three times as much at other vet offices when I've gone for regular annual check ups and shots!!
I would definitely recommend Gateway to any pet owner!!

They are not as expensive as most vets, they charge half for lab work. They are excellent. They are very gentle. They will let you stay with your animal if you want too.

My veterinarian from Gateway Animal Hospital is awesome. I would never go anywhere else.

I had recently moved to Chesterbrook after always taking my dog to my local vet in Drexel Hill and asked around to find out where to go in the area. Gateway came up again and again in coversation, so I figured I would try them out. When I called them they were very professional and courteous, and worked with me to set up an appointment that fit my schedule. I arrived a little early, because I was a new customer, and they helped me (actually completed most of) my paperwork, and were very nice. I was promptly taken into an exam room after my dog was weighed, and he had a little accident from being overstimulated (a little sprinkle, my dog is a little too excitable), I asked if I could clean it up, but they quickly sanitized the floor, and made me not feel embarrassed. I didn't wait more than a couple minutes before Dr. Brenner came in, and went through the exam, giving me advice all throughout the process. She poured over my dogs records, and gave him his needed vaccinations. Honestly, this is the first time I've ever taken him to a vet where he didn't freak out and cry when he had a shot. She was very gentle, and I can tell she loves what she does. She stayed a bit longer to explain things to look out for in the area (Lyme disease, letting me know ticks are a big problem where I live, etc) gave me some grooming tips, etc. All in all it was a very comfortable experience, and I felt like the entire staff truly cares about the animals you bring to them. I was expecting a large bill by the end, but it cost me about half, if not less, or what I paid at my old vet. Lovely people, beautiful building/facility, very clean. Without a doubt, this will be my new Vet. To top it all off, they went out of their way to get me forms for licensing, filled them out, and even checked my dogs chip to make sure everything was working. A+ in my book.

My veterinarian lives next door to me so I just run them over if I need something! What keeps me going back to them is their attention to detail and compassion for the animals. They are very thorough but they don’t do unnecessary procedures, they are honest and reliable, and they care a great deal about your animal’s welfare. They are very honest about the fees and they will tell you ways that you can save some money.

My German Shepherd had severe allergies and until Dr. Rhea treated him he suffered from constant skin infections and itching. She diagnosed him on the first visit and set upon a course of treatment that gave him complete relief.You will be happy if you take your pet to Gateway.
