This was a home inspection of an older, renovated home, after signing the sales agreement, pending results of this inspection. Best money we've spent. Craig was very thorough, spent several hours on both the inside and outside of the home. Came with all kinds of ladders and tools and looked at everything possible. Not sure how he got up that crawl space in the attic. He ran all of the appliances through full cycle (noting that the dishwasher didn't fully cycle after two attempts). Checked heating ducts, grounding (or not) of all electrical outlets and lighting fixtures, noted asbestos repair work that needed to be done, how long the furnace would probably last, roof, sewer pipe condition, and so much more. He arrived early which saved us alot of time, but then took the time to take us on a full tour of his inspection, and explained both good and bad in laymen's terms. He obviously has extensive experience with old homes - this one was circa 1900's. He also gave us an indication of what were efficiency versus danger, issues, and provided a generalized idea of what's fixable and what would be a major "big deal." He took pictures of all issues, and included those as well as a range of cost estimates in his 50 page report. Craig also was clear to note what parts of the house he was not able to inspect, such as the sealed in crawl space under the front porch, and one part of the attic area with no access. We also ordered termite and radon test, which he coordinated but were not included in the base price of the inspection (which is standard, I believe). Very professional, thorough, and we will definitely use him again.
