We have provided residential and business connectivity since 2003 but have historically focused on residential. 75% of our customers have been with us for more than five years. We are now leveraging that fiber network to supply direct fiber based, high speed, and symmetrical access to business and residences.

service was ok earlier on. then problems and more problems. everyone who used them is aware of issues. could not talk to anyone. service was down. then..... out of business

I have/had been a customer for 9+ years. On Sat at approx. 8 pm our service went out. until recently reliability had never been an issue but in the last year or so it happened often. I called Sunday morning to report the problem. I waited on hold for 20 min and hung up. Using my smartphone I sent them a message to call me. Later that afternoon I tried to call again and got put through after 10 min. The person I spoke with was very nice but absolutely harried. She put me on hold twice and then told me yes there was an outage and mumbled something about sending some one to double check something. On Monday I made arrangements to switch to another broadband company. On Tue. Cin. Comm. called to let me know that they were unable to reboot for my area and they were discontinuing my service. Really - 9+ years of loyalty rewarded with being cut of with absolutely no advanced warning! What a professional way to do business. My new service is actually faster AND cheaper so I win anyway but I would stay away from these people.

They reported less time to set up service than any of the other services (Time Warner, etc.) and were able to have it set up in the time they quoted. Their customer service over the phone was excellent when I got the service set up. Eight months later the wireless was disconnecting, the customer service person on the phone took the problem way more seriously than I did (even though I called before I checked my own router, she didn't care and ran through some testing to see if she could identify the problem and tried to set up an appt. to come out to test the service in my house. When I didn't call back to set up an appointment, they called me.) It works great and, conceptually, it's kind of a fun way to get Internet, through the electrical outlet.
Description of Work: I use this company for my internet service at home. They have other services, like local and long distance telephone and things I can't remember, that are very reasonably priced. I only needed internet service, though.

I signed up for a trial membership. The representative was really nice and seemed to know what he was talking about, saying that it was totally free for a month. Supposedly, you could plug the modem into any outlet and it runs through an electric line. I received the modem through the mail three days later, and it didn't work. I called and they said I had a weak signal in my neighborhood. Apparently this is not a fly-by-night, but when I called their helpline I spoke with someone in New York City. I took the modem back the next day.
Description of Work: They came to my door, very nice, and promised me that it would work great. It wound up not working at all. They came back today, months after I had cancelled, thinking that I was still a subscriber. I returned their modem within three days, driving out of my way to do so.

We deeply regretful the experience of this customer. This is not the normal experience. 75% of our customers have been with us for more than five years. In some cases the local electrical wiring precludes the proper functioning of the service without additional work on our part. We need to be notified of the issue and we will gladly address it. We provide the first month of service free to remove any risk on the part of the customer. Our call center is now located in Cincinnati.
