Bleu Mousse Hair Salon

It has taken me 67 years but I've finally found a great stylist. I made an appt with Doug based on reviews and could not be more pleased. He was very concerned that I get the hair I want which was medium-long rather than settle for a short cut just because I found my hair difficult to style when it is long. But also said he would do whatever I wanted if the pic I brought with me was what I want, it wasn't, I really wanted to let it grow. He explained in detail what I should be doing to get the hair I want and the why of each step as well as why I wasn't getting the results I wanted. He took his time and never rushed at all, showed me exactly how to do it at home, and I left with the best blow dry I ever had. Not the cookie cutter everyone else does so that I had to redo my hair when I got home each time I used to get it done. I have used many high end salons and could never get what I asked for. I live in Blue Bell so it's about a half hour drive and more than worth the trip. Did not push product at all, just technique. I will be returning here again and again.

I went to Bleu Mousse for the first time, after reading some positive reviews, here on Angie's list. I choose to schedule my appointment with Doug. I arrived on time and Doug was waiting for me. He asked me what I wanted to do with my hair. I told him that I had been growing it longer, but wanted it styled a bit differently. Specifically, I wanted it styled like a famous country singer's hair. Doug handed me his cell phone and asked me to google the singer (Joe Nichols) for some images. Doug then discussed with me what he had in mind to do. I agreed and he began to cut away. What I really liked was that Doug would periodically stop cutting and give suggestions like, and quot;now I can also bring this piece of hair up....and quot; or, and quot;If you'd like, I can also blend this ...and quot; At the end of the cut I was very happy with the results, which was a hairstyle that resembled the one that I had shown Doug at the beginning of our meeting. I will definitely be going to Doug again the next time that I need a cut.

What a breathe of fresh air! Doug was waiting when I got there and he took one look at my hair and immediately knew what to do.
. He said my hair was over processed and that he could give me a perm if I really wanted one, but he did not suggest it. He said to let him try to shape my hair and cut all the dead ends off. then he gave me a really good conditioning and showed me how to get my curls to come out that had been hiding underneath of my nightmare. WOW! I looked like he had just given me a fresh perm! Now not only do I have curls, but I actually look like a human being again! I would suggest this salon to anyone who has had a really bad experience with another hairdresser. Doug has the means a know how to make a nightmare head look like a work of art.
I cannot say enough good things about him. I am so impressed that I have given up on my old hairdresser forever.

Adam was my stylist. I gave him a lot of challenges (keep it long and curly, off my face, make the frizzies go away, etc), and he ran with them, being very careful and mindful of my requests........and turned out an amazing result!
With Adam's cut and suggestions, I at least had hope that I might be able to make his superior cut work with my typical styling habits (habits which were not great, but he worked to help make them work anyway...that was his goal based on the limitations I placed on him). Adam was very responsive and made sure he did not do anything I could not keep up with on my own. Towards the end, after all his suggestions and tips, and I felt confident I could manage his cut on my own, he asked if I'd like to see his exciting idea that he would love to do with styling my hair. Since I was there for an overhaul already, I agreed to let him style my hair so I would feel like I had 'just left a salon'. As he went, he also explained exactly what he was doing and how I could replicate it at home...in real life (not ideally). His result was thrilling! OMG! Thank you, Adam, for daring to push me beyond my safety zone!
I walked in looking like an 'old mountain woman', and walked out a stylin', vivacious, energetic woman! I'd forgotten she was even in there! Adam's cut was awesome and meticulous, and would have worked well with my usual styling habits, but after being shown and told how his same cut could be even better with very little effort, I can't wait to show off the new me to the world!
Will I go back? Oh, YES! Will I recommend them? Oh, H***...ummm...YES!!!

It is such a wonderful salon. It is very low key and relaxing. I go there every four weeks and people always ask where I get my hair done. I highly recommend them.

I don't get my hair cut done very often. Once I was on my way back there to make an appointment and found that they were gone. I still had to make an appointment to figure out whether they actually are. I definitely will be going back to them and it doesn't matter how far away they are. The guy who cuts my hair is excellent and he is the owner. They are a little pricey but worth it. The staff is nice and it's generally very cool. They are usually on time and not make you wait. The owner is just good.
