When I got home, I called my Allstate office in Wayne, PA. They gave me a number to call, and I did. I spoke w/ Hope and gave her the details of the crash. She was very sweet. She gave me my Claim #. She also gave me a number to call and told me Michele would be the person to handle my case. I called her, but I had to leave a message. She called me, and I gave her the details of the crash, including the info about the construction company, including their telephone #. She told me I could go to one of Allstate's site, They were all quite a distance from me, and I wanted Berwyn Collision (fabulous) would fix my car. When I went to Berwyn Collision, they estimated it would cost about $3,000 to fix my car, including the bumpers. The Allstate adjuster, Richard Foley, said he would only cover the mirror because there was prior damage on my car. I said the damage was significantly worse after the truck hit me. He chose not to help me, and I asked for his manager. The manager, Gene Stambury, said he would talk to Robert and call me back. When he called me back, he said the pictures Richard took did indicate prior damage. I once again told him the truck caused significant more damage. Both of these Allstate representatives were terrible and earn an F from me. I've been with Allstate for over 40 years and feel so victimized by them. Even though it was the construction company's fault, I paid $203 for the mirror. I have the highest regard for Berwyn Collision and highly recommend them. When I called my Allstate office in Wayne, PA, Rachel told me the incident was not reported by the adjusters. I could not believe this. She called the construction company and found out the driver did not report it. I spoke w/ a nice gentleman by the name of Joe. He said the driver did not report it. I gave him the details, and he said he would look into it and call me back. I would not want to hire this provider again but I have no choice since they are my insurance company.
Description of Work: On Sept. 14, 2016, a truck hit me at Villanova on Lancaster Ave. He kept going, and I had to hit my horn several times before he stopped. When he got out, I realized he was not going to take responsibility for hitting me. Construction is taking place every where I live. My lane was closed due to construction. I looked in my mirror, put my left signal on and merged left. Instead of stopping, the driver kept going. This guy said to me, "This is my lane, that's yours." I said to him, "Look, my lane is closed." I took info from the side of his truck. A police officer was directing traffic westbound. He came over, and I told him what happened. He said he could not take the info because of westbound traffic. He said he would call for an officer. I explained I was on my way to a very important doctor's appointment and could not wait. I told him I would call Allstate in Wayne, PA, when I got home.
