They inspected our house in 2009. They missed roach traps under multiple appliances, they missed a radiator that wasn't connected, they said 10% knob & tube based on zero evidence (whole house has k&t). They've cost us > $15k. They work for your realtor, not you.

We purchased a mid-century modern home. The home inspection went well, only a few minor defects were pointed out. The large horizontal beams that held up the roof over the living room extended through the glass curtain wall, and down to a cantelievered porch. The part that extended beyond the glass curtain wall to the outside had some minimal visible rot. The inspector said this was minor, and perhaps new wood could be "sistered" in. He did not get up on a ladder to discover what we discovered months later, after the purchase. The former owners had a painter fill the rotted area with caulk, and paint over it (We found the painting company that did this work!). When a few month later the caulk fell completely in to the rot, it was obvious we had a big problem. What the inspector had said would be a few thousand dollars to fix cost almost $100,000 to fix. The ultimate fix was steel beams  and supports to hold up the roof, making the damaged beams purely ornamental. A poor design perhaps, but a simple trip up a ladder would have saved us from ever buying this money pit.
Unfortunately, this happened prior to the law requiring home inspectors to carry liability insurance. I do not recommend this company!

Extremely knowledgeable in all areas of the inspection. Wayne Falcone took personal time to explain and answer any questions I had. I  was rushed to get the inspection finished due to counter offer dates, so I called them and they delivered in remarkable
time. They gave us a very clean and organized report that detailed everything.  Very thorough inspecting.  Seller said roof did not need to be inspected because it was replaced  months previously.  Wayne and Frank said that it was part of every home inspection the do.   Upon inspecting the roof, there were problems that needed to be resolved prior to closing.  Also, they found drain problems that would have cost us excessive plumbing bills.
I would recommend them to everyone.  Honesty and integrity is 100%

Wayne is a good man but completely botched a stucco inspection on a home we had under contract to purchase.  He used the wrong tool (we were later told), he didn't drill in the correct places and - most importantly - his readings were totally inaccurate.  He told us there was rot behind the stucco due to the high moisture readings and the repair job would require a full strip of the stucco ($100k+).  The sellers of the house then hired a real licensed stucco inspector who conducted a much more invasive test and found very little to no moisture in the walls.

The inspection seemed to go well. They told me it was a great house that only needed a few minor repairs. All the recommendations were completed by the sellers prior to our purchase. 6 months after moving in, a water stain appeared in our upstairs bedroom.  When the roofer came to assess the damage, he was shocked that the shoddy repairs were not picked up on the home inspection. He even picked up a shingle that wasn't even attached. The roof required $1000.00 worth of repairs. I called Accurate to express my unhappiness with their service but, of course, no one answered and I'm still waiting for a return call.

Frank missed a major defect in a house I purchased
The drain in the second floor bathroom shower was so clogged that the
shower took 45 minuted to drain after using it .  We experienced the probelm
immediatly after moving in
Although Frank came back and reviewed the problem , he denied any responsibility
for having missed an obviouse flaw.
The problem was repaired by a Master Plumber, Gerald Story  ( excellent !)
We had to rip up the bathroom floor and found that the drain was 95% clogged
with material that was as hard as a rock.   The Plumber told us that the problem
had been there for years and the home inspection should have revealed the problem.
I took Frank to court but he knew all the judges, having done work for them ,  and the
case was squashed twice before I gave up.  The  repairs cost me $ 8,000.00

Frank arrived on time and got straight to work. Every step of the way Frank was eager to explain, point out problem areas, suggest remedies for various problems, answer questions and point out assets to the property. He spent 3 hours investigating all accessible spaces in this 3 story house and the surrounding yard. After the inspection, Frank spent another hour with us compiling his findings and preparing a "report card" for all categories. A full, detailed, final written report was sent to us within 3 days.

This was better than I expected. Both Frank and Wayne gave me very candid and honest opinions about my issue in a way that gave me much more reassurance than talking to licensed contractors, city officials, etc. They not only know building code, they also know what is practical and necessary. Frank no longer serves Center City; Wayne does. Both were extremely accommodating to my schedule.
