I knew my father needed help and support as I live 400 miles away, but also knew it would be difficult to get him to accept help. Upon calling Leah Billie, owner of Seniors Helping Seniors, I knew I had contacted the right agency. She was warm, reassuring, and went out of her way to change her busy schedule to accommodate us for a meeting with my parents prior to me departing for home. Leah continues to be supportive, approachable, responsive to client needs, aware of client challenges, and has even gone out of her way to provide hands-on help! It is obvious that she cares a great deal about the well-being of her clients and staff and she takes a an active role in matching the client with the perfect senior helper.
When Leah came to meet with my parents and me and brought the senior who she felt would be a good match for them, my husband and I were highly impressed with the demeanor of both. We came away from that meeting knowing Leah had chosen the right fit, without ever meeting my parents, just by knowing a little about their needs. Fortunately, my parents agreed to have Lou, senior helper, start coming to the house.
My parents both found Lou to be a great help as well as a truly good-hearted person. I truly think having Seniors Helping Seniors services is the best thing that could have happened for my Dad. Mom passed away in November and Lou and Leah continue to provide emotional support and services as contracted.
I unreservedly recommend Seniors Helping Seniors for any family needing assistance for a beloved senior. Much of the stress of having an older family member living far away has been lifted due to the focused help my Dad receives from Seniors Helping Seniors.
