SELWAY TERMITE CO INC

I stopped in at Selway and purchased at bottle of Martins Viper RTU. I spoke with the lady and told her I had a cat that had got out and must have carried in a flea. I had used something from them years ago and it worked. They sold this to me and I went home and sprayed the whole main level of my home. I then looked at the manufacturer specs and found it to say Do Not Spray in areas inhabited by cats. The next business day I called Selway and spoke with Diane. She said she was not the one who sold it to me. I could let my cat in the areas I sprayed if I was going to be there to watch him. Are you serious. When I first called she said she would refund my money. That was not the case when she called me back. She said neither her nor her vendor even knew that was on the label.

We maintained the annual inspection based on a 10% pay out per year for about 5 years. The chemical seems to have an 8-10 year life span, so if you get any damage within the 10 year guarantee, they will retreat that area. Just as we were ready to move [8 years after initial treatment] we had an external nest noted. We had let the annual inspection and fee lapse but they did give us a discounted rate.

During this most recent visit, a small nest was found in a window frame, and Steve (from Selway) recommended a perimeter treatment for control. The price was very reasonable, and Steve thoroughly explained the treatment, and spelled out additional precautions we should take such as trimming tree branches so that they did not contact the house. He was punctual, pleasant, thorough, and very trustworthy. We will always rely on Selway if we have a problem.

I'm sure there are not many companies out there anymore that won't try to take advantage of people. This company offered to identify the species for us and suggested that we wait to see if our attempt resulted in a solution before they wasted our money providing a service that was not needed. They kindly offered to give me advice on the matter and said they would be available if we had any future issues. Although I did not end up having to use their services, they did help me out with advice and identification. If I ever have an issue in the future, I will definately trust them after this experience!

They do a really good job. When there is a problem, they come out immediately. They are timely. They were here when they said they were going to be here.
