Perfect. I took a big risk in not knowing Paul’s work in advance and now feel incredibly lucky his company did our job. Our cedar siding was taking a literal beating from woodpeckers so we knew our home needed re-sided with something more resilient. However we didn’t like the look of conventional non-wood options. After many painstaking internet searches I found a steel product that not only had wood texture but was also two toned to appear a weathered gray board and batten. Assembly is same as vinyl but I couldn’t find any professionals in my area willing to install the newer material I had found online - until I found Paul Miller’s roofing/siding company. He too had reluctance and rightly so. The materials took 3 weeks from order and offered little flexibility. But, he accepted the work and his crew blew me away with a finished product of steel siding, soffit, fascia, gutters and downspouts that face lifted my 40 year old house into a brand new looking house again. Seldom I had to ask to have something altered as the crew worked very quickly. But when I did, Paul’s guys were always gracious stating they wanted me to be happy. The most awkward was when I asked them to redo a front siding panel because I didn’t like the look of the J channel. The vertical panels come in 10’ lengths and my front siding was 15.5’. The crew said, ‘no problem’ and re-did the front panels by overlapping them. Unfortunately I didn’t like the overlapped appearance either. It left a visible 4’ horizontal seam line I couldn’t take my eyes off of. So I contemplated asking Paul to have his guys actually return the front siding back to the j channel when Paul suggested he would ask the manufacturer if they would do custom 16 footers for our project. That’s an extra mile move, there. Fabulous. He said worse they could say is ’no’. But Paul could have easily given me guff because of wanting the job to be done already or just taken me back to the j channel. Long story short the custom panels eventually got made and delivered and his crew tore down the front siding (again) and finished the job. There are no visible seams or rivets you typically see from metal board and batten designs. What we now have is a perfectly executed ‘QualityEdge Tru-Cedar’ stainless steel sided house that would fool anyone into believing it was real, weathered cedar. Paul had also suggested applying the new siding directly over our old wood siding which was absolutely the way to go keeping our insulation intact and increasing our R value. It was also a less expensive suggestion than ripping out the old. Between the siding layers Pauls crew wrapped the house with a moisture barrier. In the end I’m thankful Paul was not only willing to take on the challenge of working with a new material and manufacturer but also for being patient with us in wanting us to have full satisfaction and happiness with the finished product by asking the manufacturer to do something custom for us. His pricing was very fair and never did he try to gouge us for requesting changes. Lastly, those pesky woodpeckers can finally go ef themselves. Thank you Paul..! Chris Bokelberg Homeowner

"Thanks a lot, always appreciate any evaluation. We did have a few glitches with the ordering process based on availability, but in the end, it looks great and you and your wife are obviously pleased. I only wish all customers had the patience and understanding for projects. Thanks again. Be well."

It went very well. The crew leaders were excellent and took pride in their work. Paul was very flexible about change orders, and the charges for the extra work were fair.

I called numerous contractors to take care of a leaking skylight after a heavy rain storm. Most contractors never replied, and a few had enough decency to at least reply and let me know they were too booked to take on a small job. Paul was different. I could tell he was busy, but he said he would get to it as soon as he could. I let him know it was a pretty bad leak, but I was unsure what was the issue. A few days later Paul addressed the issue as a very minor problem and fixed it on the spot. It's refreshing to have contractors ready to help and be truthful to unsuspecting customers. He could have easily turned the job into something bigger but instead quickly, and effectively, addressed the issue. I'll be sure to contact Paul in the future for roofing issues.

Fantastic!!!  He was lower priced then all other estimates, provided clear explanation of costs and work to be completed, had entire roof done in less than 6 hours and not a scrap of mess left behind.  He far exceeded my expectations!

Paul Miller was very prompt, responsive, courteous, and came over my house within a day or two of calling.  He told me my roof looked good and so the leak wasn't likely coming into the living room from there, but more likely the chimney.  He then gave me names of other providers to help with the chimney repair and plaster restoration for inside the house.  He also pointed out that although the roof was ok, the shingles were not and mentioned who could help with that as well.  It was a pleasant and efficient experience.  He was very professional, and I would use him again.

Paul showed up when he said he would, was very nice and courteous, very informative and explained what was going on. He is a local contractor and actually had previous knowledge of my house from a former owner. He went well out of his way. and for that I will be calling him in the future. I intend on installing two new skylights with built in remote blinds in the near future and will be hiring Paul Miller roofing for the work. Thanks guys keep up the good work.

Working with the contractor was simple and easy. I left an initial message and my call was returned promptly. Paul came by the house to look at the work and gave me an estimate within a week of the first call. We agreed on a price and he then got me on the schedule. Since the work didn't involve a full day's labor, Paul said he'd work me in as quickly as possible. Within a week the job was completed. The work site was left clean and the job was done exactly as I wanted.
I used Paul a number of years ago to replace my roof and had the same type of experience. I'd highly recommend his company for any roofing needs.

There are two small, steep, sections of roof at the back of my house that needed to be re-shingled. There were also 4 older skylights in one of those roof sections that it was time to replace. Paul Miller was prompt and on-time in all of his work, from responding to the first call for an estimate, to doing the work, to sending brochures and warranty material I had requested. He responded to all phone calls and e-mails the same day. The skylights I had were an irregular size, and Paul found quality replacement skylights that would minimize the amount of labor costs and disruption to the occupants of the house. His crew came right on time at 8:00 a.m. as requested. They were efficient and thorough in their work, and completed the work by noon. They removed all of the old roofing and debris (including some old shingles I had stored in a shed and no longer needed), and left the place clean. After Paul had submitted his quote for the work, I found a leak in the front of the house that I thought was coming from a skylight. Paul also had his crew inspect and seal that skylight at no extra charge.
It was a pleasure to do business with Paul Miller. I would use Paul W. Miller Roofing again, and would recommend him to others.

Post informing the skylight was leaking on a terra cotta tile roof; he advised they no longer work on terra cotta tile roofs and directed me to another company. No mincing words and no wasting my time -- VERY much appreciated!

There are actually two skylights up there, but only one leaked. I asked if I should be replacing the other one as well, since they were both put in at the same time and it would be just a matter of time until the second one leaks too. Paul's suggestion was to just replace the bad one for now, and do the second one as needed in the future. I appreciated that he didn't push us to do both. But ultimately I decided to go ahead and replace both, rather than wait for a problem to arise.
The price seemed somewhat high, (more than double the retail cost of the materials alone), but I'm not complaining because his crew worked very efficiently and (barring any leaks in the next major rainstorm) I believe they did a very good job. They were courteous, worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves.
Also, when the shingles were removed around the second skylight, they discovered that the plywood around the window was rotting away. The crew called Paul, who came out with a new piece of plywood to replace it. He did not add an additional charge to the bill; the invoiced amount was exactly as estimated. (The $1900 total invoice covered the two skylights, plus we opted for venetian blinds and an operating pole.)
We're very pleased with the service and professionalism, and would gladly hire :Paul W. Miller Roofing again.

The worker's were very professional, on time and very polite. They did our job sooner than when they quoted and it worked out well. Very clean and organized. Can't say enough how satisfied we were with their work and the new roof looks great. Our personal sympathy goes out to the family on the passing of Paul W. Miller, Sr., on June 23, 2013.
