Beware! They subcontract. The subcontractors they sent to our house did a horrible job and totally destroyed our aluminum awning by walking on it. The painting was horrible. There was paint and drips everywhere (on lights, shingles, our brick, etc). They also totally missed spots after supposed two coats. The owner did work with us and sent out another crew who fixed the paint where you could see the problems. (It took the new crew all day because how bad it was). They had to sand everywhere and did a good job making it acceptable They got the paint off the roof by scraping and using a power washer; neither of which is good for shingles. Also the original contractor destroyed our aluminum awning (leg went through it and bent it in several places) and then lied and said we told them they could walk on it. Why would anyone walk on an aluminum awning let alone put ladders on it? We filed an insurance claim with CertaPro who turned it over to the original contractor’s insurance. Since the contractor lied, their insurance did not pay the claim. CertaPro did nothing to help. They should take ownership since they make a big show about having insurance and they, unbeknownst to us, sent subcontractors. They also need to make sure their subcontractors are professional painters and know what they are doing.

It was not very good. They did a very poor job in fact I've got to get it done again. I'll probably do it myself this time cause they were very poor. I had to initiate cost most of the time. It took a long time to get a response upon my first call back in spring, I was trying to get on board early for price savings. Would have preferred a little more time spent on prep work, the surfaces what it was weathered surface with many previous coatings of paint, not sure about cost for job. So I was not very pleased with them. I would not recommend them for quality.

Showed up 8 hours late, dripped paint on wallpaper and floor, rinsed brushes out splattering walls and door, missed one wall totally and part of ceiling. Company sent another guy who did fix all problems

The owner came out when promised, but never gave me an estimate. He said he would e-mail me the estimate later in the day but never did.

Contractor did not turn up for a week after the supposed start date. I had to call them to find out what was going on. Eventually turned up on afternoon of supposed new start day, dropped off the equipment and left. There was confusion on what was supposed to be painted under the contract which we sorted out. I asked them to quote for the now additional workwe required done and they quoted ccepted the price but a day later the contractor refusd to do the additional work as it was too much hard work. Contractor seemed to want the work over and done with and to get his money. Job quality was ok but not an easy company to deal with and in the end we did not get all the work we wanted done.

On the whole it has been good. I think there were lots of communication with the man who made the contract and the painter. I called them the other day saying that something else needs to be done and they told me that they were coming on Monday but never showed up. I think for me at least they didn't have good communication about the things they were supposed to do. All the windows were new so they didn't need to paint the windows. It wasn't a big amount of painting and I think the house hasn't been painted for a long time and it needed a very good preparation. Unfortunately I wasn't here when they did the work. It looks good but I hope it lasts because that is the importance. The person who came for the contract was very professional and I was very impressed. That is why I gave the contract to them because I handled them one time and the amount of money was similar and I liked them. I think they should specify very well what they are supposed to do.

One of the owners, David out of the north huntington area, came out and he said he would do the work, even though he wasn't in the area. We've never had a company give such a detailed quote. I thought that was very professional. He followed-up with phone calls and emails, every step of the process. That's just how David is. The workers were very nice, but I did have to show them areas that they missed paint. They were still very friendly and nice. We had a very short timeframe because we had other things to get done. He was able to work with my 4 day time frame. ---Update--- I had to touch up some paint and I'm waiting for them to come out.

He was prompt and followed up with what he said he was going to do. But, what I didn't like was the fact that he didn't know who the crew was going to be because he didn't have regular workers.

Certapro and Dan K. did an outstanding job in all regards. They were on-time, prompt, responsive, and simply did outstanding work. My home looks perfect and they did the entire thing in a timely manner. I would use Certapro again for sure.
