Kris was the estimator and did a good job to understand the property's need. Theron was the crew chief and Roger was his assistance. Both installers did an amazing job and completed the entire work in just 2 days. I would DEFINITELY recommend Bakers Waterproofing again.

It went great! Rick Rupp and Luke P came to do the work on 11/11/20 and were punctual in their arrival. Rick was clearly the senior person of the two and did most of the technical work. Rick was super knowledgeable, a great communicator, and an extremely hard worker. Both guys were very professional, easy to get along with, and tolerant of my numerous dumb questions. (I'm a CPA by background, so this stuff doesn't come naturally!) They first installed a plastic curtain across the back of the garage to contain the concrete dust while they jackhammered out the concrete along the back wall. After installing the sub-floor drainage system and routing it into an existing sump pump in our main garage (which had been previously installed by Bakers back in 2009), Rick did a very neat and thorough job of installing their CleanSpace wall system (to ensure that any future moisture is properly routed to the new drainage system) and then troweling the new concrete surface. As had been agreed with our salesperson, Justin Lowden (another good and professional guy), they also redirected our furnace drainage into their new system. Their entire work area was cleaned, and they ensured my acceptance of all installation and clean-up work before they left. I honestly couldn't have been more impressed with the customer satisfaction focus of both Rick and Luke! They worked well together and there were no issues. If you have the need for these kinds of services, I would very strongly recommend Bakers Waterproofing. I would definitely hire them again, but certainly hope I don't have to!!

Awesome job! Had estimates done by four companies. Everyone uses the same principle. Baker was done for less without the pushing “buy now or burn in ****” attitude that some salesmen (and women) had. The Russian chic from one of the other companies was guaranteeing way too much. When I called her company to verify, found out she was doing a play of words...what most folks call “lying”. Bakers did less cutting of the basement floor than what others wanted to do, again same principle less construction. Had a couple nice rains since install and no water. I chose to overkill with the triple pump for my own peace of mind. Mike & Rob installed the system and was very professional even after banging their heads off of the radiator heater pipes numerous times. Sorry guys, new HVAC next spring. Ran out of time because of the China flu. I also elected to have the wall wrap done, looks awesome. Basement is now livable. I’m glad the previous owners did not have Bakers do work or the house would have cost double in price.

WENT VERY WELL. DREW and GAVIN Arrived on time with all of the necessary equipment and supplies. They consulted with us in detail to be sure that they would produce exactly the result that we wanted. Once they started I was impressed by the energy that they put into carving out the necessary channels and adding the piping etc.. . These guys are PRO's! Everything met with our requirements. When the project was finished Drew and Gavin did a great job in cleaning up . We are very happy with the results.!

Both Theron and Brian were extremely nice and very informative. The workmanship and attention to detail was excellent. The clean up after the work was impressive, I couldn't have done better myself. I was scheduled for 2 day project to install sub-pump and they did the job in 1 day. They were amazing and I would recommend Bakers Waterproofing to my friends specifically Theron and Brian!!

Charlie Good and Colson did a great job and worked hard!! He called before they came, were punctual, had all the tools to do the job, cleaned up afterwards, answered all my questions, showed me how to work the torque wrench, and were friendly. I will be calling about getting my concrete sidewalks lifted. I didnt know Bakers did that. I saw it on the truck. I showed Charlie my sidewalks and he explained the process to me. Very happy with the job! Charlie n crew deserve the Wow award! Great Bakers employees to be proud of!

We live in a 115-year-old house that presented many waterproofing challenges, from a crawl space under a new addition, to both dirt and concrete floors, and to aging foundation walls. We had received a professional estimate from Baker's Waterproofing before the work began. As any project goes, a few complications were discovered throughout the repair. Foreman Ken Kahlbaugh addressed each issue as they came up and provided a workable solution for all of them, as well as what additional costs would be involved. While working Ken and his assistant Rick Rupp arrived on time every day and worked in a professional manner. We are very pleased with the end result. , and our basement is now dry and useable for storage. I would recommend Baker's Waterproofing to anyone.

Follow up. It seemed ok but then we noticed gaps in the corners of our basement were they had used duct tape to keep the mitered corners of their Water Guard System instead of the corner pieces they showed us in their phamplet that would be used. The sand mix they used is only a 1/4 inch thick and is cracking already. They sold us three sump pumps and said it was required to get the warranty but the third pump is only connected to a small portion of the basement. They came to our house to talk about the issues but it was useless and an insult to our intelligence. The rep talks a lot about his house and OSHA specifications and how the system is engineered but it is clear that most of it is sales pitch. He actually tried to say it is cause it is winter time and is the reason the pump has no water and wouldn't listen to what I was trying to tell him in how the installers did the work. How much rain have we had in the last two weeks. It poured for two days after they installed. Very poor craftmanship. Left concrete stains on our asphalt driveway. I have worse humidity in areas of my basement than before the work. I also was dumb enough to get sold a dehumidifier that doesn't do what they said it would. One rep told us we would get mold on the block behind their plastic wall system and and the other says it is warranted not to happen. We were sold and paid 15k to have the work done. Even if they paid what vfc we paid them for materials and they only charged us on labor we paid minimum 250 to 300 dollars an hour labor for the poor craftmanship. When I showed the rep the poor quality he said I am not sure what you want me to do.i ended up asking him to leave several times.

"We have been in business for over 45 years. We addressed your concerns to the best of our ability. Our professional opinion is that there is nothing wrong with the system. Our production manager, Gary, has been in contact with you, including site visits, multiple times. The waterproofing system is working properly to keep the basement dry. Gary demonstrated through drawings to explain the system in great detail. We did this, because we want you to know that you have a functioning system. We want you to be happy with our service. According to our production manager, the concrete is not cracking or crumbling. You told Gary that you took a hammer to the concrete, which is why it broke. We only suggested to slope the concrete to alleviate your concern, but we do not recommend it because the system is functioning as is. The pumps were recommended depending on volume of incoming water. However, we told you we would happily do this pump removal free of charge and reimburse you for it. For your storage items, you were told you could have safely replaced the items about one month prior to this complaint. However, Gary said we would put in a new concrete pad over the system simply to give you peace of mind. We want you to be a satisfied customer. You have a dry basement and these are unnecessary measures. We hope you understand and will reach out to us if you’d like to move forward with removal of pump and/or adding a new concrete pad for your peace of mind."

Concrete Leveling
Porch has settled over the past 70 years, but the concrete was still in good shape. Work was done within estimate. Scott Clark (foreman) did a nice job when arriving to the site indicating potential issues. I am very happy with the work done.

Prior to the work done, the representative from Baker’s Waterproofing inspected our home, detected our basement issues, and guided us through the process of intervention. All of this preliminary session included our input, as well as their proffering of choices and assurance that we understood why we were having issues and how their system and reparations would work to resolve them. Confidently, the representative gave his background in this business and affirmed, with a media presentation, the conviction and reputation of the company in serving the public. Not only had their promised arrival date, set months in advance, been kept, we were offered the chance to begin work early! Though we were unable to take this offer, we were contacted a week before to confirm the date. After their promised call one hour before coming, both Baker’s Waterproofing workers arrived on-time, were friendly and required no assistance from us. They worked all day with little noise and little debris, even considering the work entailed, which was jackhammering the cement floor. Outside, the earth removal and garden disturbance was minimal for downspout repositioning. Though it’s been less than two weeks since their work, fall has brought some rain, but our basement remains dry and the smell of new construction lingers -instead of what we struggled with for years: an old, musty, moldy basement odor.

Easy process from beginning to end! From Mike Felt coming to our house and meeting with us to final installation. Mike set up an appointment and met with us and inspected our game room and basement and made recommendations with a no pressure sale. Rich and Cliff showed up on our scheduled day and worked continuously from the time they got there until the job was finished. Very professional and also added in some humor here and there. The install was quick and efficient. I rated the price as a C only because it was higher than another Pittsburgh-area waterproofer; however, I expected it to be higher priced as I have heard others make similar comments, but I was willing to pay a higher price for better quality. The crew (Theron and Brian) were very considerate and personable; very hard workers and I was surprised there were only two of them (they did have a service advisor stop by to assist on day one) and they got the job done in only two days (probably 14 hours worth of work). The sales rep Dave was also very helpful and responsive to my needs as I reached out to him a few times in the months leading up to the work. Overall, this is a very customer-oriented company who I would certainly recommend to anyone looking to have similar work completed.

I called bakers because I was getting about 6inches of rain water in my basement. They had a representative come out and recommend a triple safe sump pump system and perimeter drain installed. After the work was done I've had no water in my basement at all. I'm very pleased with the decision I've made hiring bakers waterproofing. Yes it's a little pricey but for what you get you can't go wrong especially when it comes to the foundation of your home

Working with Baker's Waterproofing on getting our basement fixed was an awesome experience! From the very beginning they let us know exactly what they were going to have to do, the pricing involved, and prepared us for each and every step of the process! Rich Rotolo, the foreman on our project did an amazing job!!! He called me when he was on his way, and was on time to the job! Once he was here, he answered any and all questions we had, and when we would pop in and check on what was going on, he'd explain each step to us of what he was doing, and the reason he was doing it. We also have a fireplace, and we were warned at the estimate that there was a chance it could be cracked during the job, however Rich made sure that our fireplace was perfectly fine! I would highly recommend Baker's Waterproofing, and I would especially recommend Rich to be the guy that you request! If I ever need any more work done, these are the guys I will call!
