It was terrible. It was a while back and I got rid of it because it was so terrible. The issue wasn't with the installation. The issue was with the contract and the customer service. The initial system was installed for free because they were going around and advertising. The customer service was really crappy. They were adequate but they weren't really doing what we needed them to do.

After 22 years of service with the company they now tell me I need to "upgrade my system ". They are offering me less than going with a new provider, no deals for being a long time customer and Ben the salesman has not responded to me since I brought it to his attention and I can only assume from their lack of follow up that they have no interest in customer retention.

I had a new security system install in an old Victorian that had at least two and quot;legacyand quot; systems. The initial visit was within 48 hours of my request with installation the next week. Both visits were on time. The initial visit was very detailed with no effort to hurry through the pitch. I chose this service because the sales pitch was detailed and the product included a fairly advanced system that met our desires at a fair price. Other companies offered a slightly lower price, but without some critical aspects of installation and service.

Halfway through our two year contract, the system has operated without any issues. This included a couple of power surges that fried our neighbors system (not vector) and some ongoing improvements to the remote control app.

My only gripe was that the installer was very slow and lacked some skills at figuring out the best way to install some of the equipment in the old house. On the other hand, he was not hurried and worked with me to put the equipment in the places I preferred.

Installation went great. The guy was on time, installed quickly and answered all of my questions. My issue was with sales. I thought I had alarm.com interactive services and when I called they told me no and referred me to the salesman. He told me that it wasn't on the contract because I was and quot;cost conscious.and quot; CHEAP was what he was saying. He said I'd have to sign a new contract. So we did that the next day and after he left I found my old copies of the original contract. He made changes to the original contract after he left! I was beyond furious that he would alter the document. I spoke with a supervisor who was very polite and helpful. They gave me a free month. I'm happy with the service otherwise. I've set it off and they call right away.

The house was vacated and the alarm system was turned off. There was still remaining months on the contract which was agreed to be honored by billing a credit card each month. I have since received statements stating I owed as the account was not paid, yet each month the credit card showed a withdrawl to Vector Security. When called about it Vector claims they show no payment and wanted me to send the entire credit card statement. There is no way I am disclosing all the other accounts which are shown on the credit statement. Therefore, I have had t0 pay twice to keep it out of the hands of bill collectors and keep my credit good.
Therefore, I would NOT RECOMMEND VECTOR SECURITY.

I was just happy with the deal that they presented me with. As they are smaller, they gave me a good quote which was a competitive cost. They have a local office.

The installation was free. Their security system works great. It is digital which we liked a lot compared to ADT. The only thing that I didn't like about them was that they were very pushy and they use a lot of secret tactics to get into our home and my husband was overseas at that time. They come to town and before we know it they walk into our house. We allow it thinking they would leave immediately and they don't. So, they are just extremely pushy almost forward. We love their service, but we did not like how they initiated the service.

They do a really good job and I would still be using their service if I had not moved. We are happy with the service.

They are very professional and reliable.

Their services are very good. I always feel very secure with my security system. The whole house is covered. Overall the services are very good.

A well dressed salesperson from Vector Security visited my house pitching and quot;I'd like to put our sign in your yardand quot;. There had been a number of robberies in my neighborhood and I was interested in what the salesperson had to say. His company was and quot;offering $1500 worth of Honeywell equipment for freeand quot; because they were new to our area and I would be helping them out by placing a Vector Security sign in my yard. However, to obtain the free equipment and yard sign I had to sign on the dotted line that day. I explained that I wasn't comfortable working with a company that I had not investigated and to please leave me his business card and any relevant information. He persisted to convince me to sign his paperwork by naming other people in the neighborhood that had already accepted Vector Security's offer. Once again I asked for his business card. The next tactic he used was to perform a security audit of my windows and doors to show me how his company would secure my house. He moved to enter my house without my permission but I blocked his way. I found that last act offensive and asked him to leave, which he finally did after a few more minutes.
While I cannot rate the service or product Vector Security offers, I can say after speaking with a salesperson for about 30 minutes that the sales tactics were incredibly aggressive and frankly offensive. I have since investigated Vector Security a bit more and learned that signing the paperwork that day would have committed me to 5 years of monitoring service.

We have been using them for eight years. They call us immediately when the alarm goes off.

They have very reasonable monthly prices, and they are very professional and courteous.
