ROMBOLD TREE & LAWN SERVICE

Dan gave me an estimate on Monday, I gave him the job on Wednesday and he returned Saturday to cut down the tree at the exact time he told me on Wednesday. Everything went well and he was done in less than 6 hours (with all wood loaded on his truck). Everything was cleaned up and the rest of the lawn looks fine. His estimate was in line with the lowest of 6 estimates, but all others estimated 2-8 weeks for the job to be completed.

Dan gave a very thorough and complete estimate, and identified areas where we could benefit by leveraging them being on-site already.  They came on time and completed the work to my satisfaction.

I don't recall anything negative. They did a great job.

They were excellent.  They were very careful to make sure they didn't cause any problems.  They also cleaned up well after themselves.  We were very impressed with their work.

He did one job in September 2011 and the other one in November 2011. The tree trimmings cost about $440. He was very responsive in getting back to me. We then had a hurricane and so, there was a bit of a delay in getting something going because of the hurricane but the house was not damaged. He was a little slower in getting back to me for the second job as we recently had the snow storms but I did not have any trees falling on the power lines. He was slow but once he called with the date that he was going to come, it was good. I don't remember as to how I heard about him. His price was good and so was his quality. His professionalism was good too.

Dan and his crew completed all of the work as promised, and then some, taking down an additional tree and some branches that were not in the original estimate, in order to make the finished product (my yard!) look its best.  My yard looks larger without all the low hanging and dry branches.  My only complaint is that they did not completely eradicate the poison ivy from the base of the maple tree, and my husband caught a nasty case of it getting the last bits off the tree, and from around the roots.  But otherwise, Dan was pleasant to work with and I would hire him again. 

Contacted approximately 6 tree service providers. Dan's estimate was in line with all the rest. He was the only one to recommed having the service lines to the house identified before he would grind the stump. Was impressed with his professionalism. Dan and his crew arrived on the date and time promised. Took over an hour to cut down the tree, mulch, and clean the work area. Dan will return to grind the stump once the service lines have been identified. I would recommend Dan to others and will be using him again in the future as the need arises. As promised - within two weeks the underground service lines were identified and marked - the next day the crew showed up to grind the stump down.

Very well. The crew did a great job on cleanup, too.

Dan and his crew arrived on time (actually earlier than expected). All of the guys were very professional and nice. During the time they were at my house, they worked non-stop. It was amazing watching Dan climb up the tree and cut it down. The work was so well coordinated - each guy helping the other out. I plan on using Rombold again.

On the first day, a team of 3 arrived when promised, cut down the trees in the rain, and removed all wood and debris; The next day one guy returned to grind out tree stumps; A few days later, two guys returned with top soil to fill in and seed all indentations and divots. The trees were very near my house. During the work a stray branch fell and broke a storm window. Rumbold immediately made me aware of the accident and took responsibility to replace the window free of charge.

Dan and his assistant did an excellent job: they arrived at the agreed upon time, performed all work quickly and efficiently and as previously discussed, explained to me-in detail-why certain steps were necessary, waited patiently while my neighbor and I discussed what pruning was necessary for my trees overhanging their property, did an immaculate job cleaning everything up. Also, I got more than I paid for price wise and Dan offered several less expensive options to work that I initially specified.

Dan showed up exactly when he said he would and with his helper, immediately went to work. He climbed and limbed the tree while the worker worked the ropes and the chipper. When they left (start to finish was only 1.5 hours) they totally cleaned up the area of sawdust and all evidence of the tree removal. More that just being professional, this job was done by a caring and nice man. We would use him again with no hesitation.

My husband was doing yard work on a Saturday and noticed that a large oak tree was overgrown and was tearing up our roof! We needed someone ASAP to cut back this large tree. We called several area tree service companies, but Dan called back right away and came to our house within 2 hours. He was very professional and friendly, and saw that the job needed immediate attention. While he was here, my husband asked him about removing a Norway Spruce that was very sickly looking, but we hated to see it go, as it was providing us with some privacy. Dan examined the tree and said he thought it could be saved. He gave us an estimate of $410 to fully trim both trees and said he'd be back the next morning ( a Sunday!) at 9 am. A crew of two men (and a HUGE chipper) arrived at 8:45 the next morning. They courteously waited until 9 before firing up the chainsaw. All the work was professionally and efficiently done and they raked up absolutely every crumb.

Dan Rombold took my call immediately, made a prompt appointment for an estimate. Appeared on time for appointment. Was polite, professional, and knowledgable. Cost was reasonable. Work was done within 9 days. He even installed a pulley for my wind chimes!
